Back him, he is not the problem and deserves to show what he can do with some chosen players of his own and a pre-season at least. anything else would be a wrongdoing since the players clearly does not want to even try to win a football game. This is not about tactical prowess. This time the manager needs to win and a lot of players to loose their place in the club or else the problem continues.

I guarantee come August we are going to start with Young, Jones, Lingard and Rashy. That alone is enough to sack him. He talks about building a British core. Arsenal tried that around 5 years ago and they got found out

Everyone thinks that having a budget increase or recruiting new players will fix this club....you are wrong.

There's only 1 event to fix this club. new ownership. The culture of the club is pretty much set at ownership level and down to the playing staff. we need new ownership/management to gut this club from top to bottom.

the fans who are passive and think they are showing support will wake up 10 years with their kids supporting City .. and this will be because their parents had no backbone.

I maintain it's one or the other right now. You can't have an in between or half measure. If you back him now, you back him for the full three years. If you can't commit to that, you sack him right now.

Some of you are terrible - where were you lot when we were winning everything when Ole first joined? Constantly shifting the goalposts and saying that it was "not a true test"?

Sacking him and getting someone else in will just be another "win" for some of these players - more to player power since some of them have gone through 4 managers and are still here.

Shocked to see so many wanting him gone. If Poch becomes available, I'd consider it, but really we should back him after the first half of his tenure here. It's gone to shit, but there have been contributing factors like personnel and fitness that are out of Ole's control.

So if we hired a duck as manager we should wait to sack it because..reasons.

I’f they’re not good enough then we need to be ruthless & start acting like the biggest club in England

I prefer to give him his chance first. He's been a take care manager for a squad everybody on this forum seems to agree is mediocre at best. That's not his fault. So why should we expect other than mediocre results? He was selected for the job so he needs to be given time. The day when we start hiring/firing every 5-6 months is the day this club is truly lost.

There’s no chance Ole will get sacked already. That’ll be some payout.

I think he’ll do a lot better once they shift shit about at the top. I’d be happy keeping Woodward to do all that commercial shit he does because he’s obviously quite good at it, but we just have to get football minded execs in. It doesn’t make any sense not doing.

I believe we're going to sound Poch out and if he says OK, we'll sack Ole.

Whether he should be sacked, it's so difficult to say with the bunch of clowns he has letting him down in every way possible.

Technically, we have some superb players, but attitude-wise, they stink. But yes, the rot does go deeper. All the way to the top but you won't hear Gary Neville or other ex-United players saying that. The Glazers are sacrosanct.
Neville constantly says the problems at united go much higher than just the players and manager

Sack him and what? Appoint Carrick? Gary Neville?

There is not a single manager that can be a better option for us at the moment. All we can hope for is that the board supports him 100% in the transfer market.

Also, anyone who thinks we can get Poch

Get rid, you cannot excuse losing at home to relegated team and the bad run of form. He has to be sacked.

Sack. Let's not wait until we're solid midtable to correct our mistake.

It's really weird. It's like they've downed tools on him, 4 weeks after they were all delighted he got the job permanently.

Yes, things need to change higher up, yes Woodward and his banker friends are a major problem, but Ole fills me with no confidence at all.

I fully expect him to carry on, and have a summer to rebuild his team - but I think the standard of performance will be around the 4th to 6th mark at best.

feck it, sack him. Hire another name. Win a few games. Cry wank when we lose because the players can’t be fecked anyway.

Rinse, repeat.

fecking pathetic
At least we get a cry wank out of it, which more than we’re getting at the moment

Man.. our fans. So many people were ready to back him and now they flipping? At least be consistent throughout .

The next permanent manager thread, the vote for Ole turned around so fast from Poch, that a lot of fans was celebrating that as a victory. I bet if that thread was open again, there will be more flipping.

Ole needs to be sacked, I don’t want him rebuild United not only because our performance has been terrible, but also because I don’t like his philosophy.

I agree a lot of flip flopping and I like them said he deserved the job even though I wanted and still want Poch. But we are our own problems. But to Shift the blame this is not our job and once again the board is failing.

Sack him. Can't trust him to be the one to do the rebuild after this disastrous run of results and performances.

He has to be ruthless to survive here. He cannot be one of the boys and have favourites, because his apparent favourites will cost him his dream job. Is he hoping ‘Rashy’ has his upturn season next season and he ends up being a 30 goal a season striker? ‘Jonah’ will continue to be true to his name for us and himself with his injuries. Young simply cannot be a starting full back next season. Smalling is going to be eaten alive by the new VAR system with his constant wrestling.

The board has to help him too by bringing in DoF people and restructuring the current setup. I swear we’ve got like three people at the club at the moment who can be pretty much deemed the Head of Scouting... one from Sir Alex’s time in Lawlor, one from Moyes’ time in Murtough and one from LVGs time in Bout... like what the feck is that?

Obviously back him, the problems with the players were self evident before he joined, he needs time to get the players fitness to the level he neeeds to play the type of game he wants and get rid of the dead wood/toxic personalities.

As much as I hate to say it, sack him. But we are going to wait and sack him 3 months into the next season.

If the club sack him they will have the exact same issues because the players are complete and utter w*nk and that has nothing to do with Solskjaer.

He should've started with kids plus Valencia. It was the perfect game to do it.

I'm not convinced he'll get rid of the likes of Young, Jones and stop giving preferential treatment to "Rashy." That's what worries most about him.

I confused what is he supposed to do without a transfer window? Theres too many fanboys of the players who refuse to acknowledge there a massive amount of trash in our sqaud that no manager could turn them into a top team again

Could a manager coach them to beat Cardiff and Huddersfield?

He's not the right manager, but the entire structure of the club needs to change.

My theory is that the other teams all had an agreement to let us win 10 or so games until “Give it to Ole” has become reality.
Now they have a good laugh and can rest assured that we will waste another 2-3 years fecking around.

Cause we didn't have wingers?

When Rashford went wide and crossed the ball in at the end, it did not seem that complicated. All that tippy-tappy, 38 touches before losing the ball in the middle resulted in nothing. You don't need dedicated wingers to go wide.

Why don't we use the width? At all.

Agreed. As bad as the players are, we spent the whole game with everyone thinking they're a number 10 playing flicks on the edge of the box. That's shit coaching.

Get players to hold the width to make space in the middle. Not rocket science. That's shit coaching I'm afraid.

Whilst that may be true, I think it's also increasingly obvious that Ole is not at the standard we need as head coach/manager or whatever term people want to use.
I don't know how you can make that assumption based on the fact since he came in as manager we're still only behind Liverpool and City in terms of points gained. We've had a tough fixture list and because of him we've played teams in the Champions League we shouldn't have even stood a chance against.

People just need to chill out and look past the immediate situation. The only thing we should really be concerned about is that fact he' found it hard to arrest a slump in form, but the whole management team and coaches also have to take some of the blame. They've been there longer than he has.

I believe we're going to sound Poch out and if he says OK, we'll sack Ole.

Whether he should be sacked, it's so difficult to say with the bunch of clowns he has letting him down in every way possible.
I think this is true. Would Poch come now though? I think he wanted to before...not so sure now

The players. A manager can't do huge changes like that in a matter of days. The players wanted Mourinho out and they played out of their skins to prove a point that it was his fault and not theirs. After Ole got a permanent contract they simply reverted to their usual selves.

Well if the case let’s not leave it to the players and get the right ‘qualified’ manager for the job. Like Gary Neville tells us about the DOF.
