Hey, you have to start somewhere. Also won some with our reserves. The Norwegian league compared to Serie A, Premier League and Champions league trophies.....
We attacked too fast against Villa. Sick to death about hearing DNA DNA DNA, how about we just live in the modern era
I mean he’s right isn’t he? When we broke out we kept going for the long ball over and over again (especially in the second half) and because of that we couldn’t have that sustained attack that we might have needed. We needed to have some more of the ball and a little more control, he’s spot on.If that was TOO fast, I don't want to know what slow paced is for him.
Yes but a lot is also on him for putting square pegs in round holes. If he wanted more controlled possession in our build-up and balance in the team, he wouldn't put a CM out on the right flank, he wouldn't throw a striker on and go direct with balls in the box, and so on.I mean he’s right isn’t he? Yeah for sure it’s on him, but I am glad he recognised it.Yes but a lot is also on him for putting square pegs in round holes. I'm glad he has reflected on it at least. I don't have an issue with his evaluation on hindsight.
What? He’s just saying we were rushing our attacks too much.Maybe we should play long balls over the top like Everton then, perhaps?
Completely agree. He is right. We had 28 goal attempts. Most of which were rushed and the wrong decision where a simple pass inside would have set up a much clearer chance.
Our forward line is new again and the cohesion just isn't there yet but it will come.
Funny the ones slating the manger's public comments about his players have probably never managed a group of people in their life. I'm not even convinced he is going to be the one to lead us to trophies but let's use some common sense.

This is the type of statement we'd slander Moyes for saying

But in the PL, the margins are so small.
Both City and Chelsea have the same financial capabilites as you have, and have been using them to the fullest. Liverpool and Arsenal are not far behind. The teams are all stacked with quality. And apart from Arsenal, they're all managed exceptionally well at the moment.
And then, it's very hard to improve to the point where you can actually beat out those competitors, and finally beat out Pep's City to a title: it took all of the "mentality monster"-dom that Klopp could get his team to muster up, to do it for one single season. And there just isn't a tree where Klopps or Guardiolas grow, there really is just the two of them.
Even last season's CL exit, yes it was poor as it hinged on a horrible, inexcusable loss to that weak Istanbul side, but then again it was a bit of a tricky group, and if that exit had been down to two losses against PSG, for example, it wouldn't have seemed to poor.
This season, of course, a group stage exit would be laughably bad, considering that you're facing more of an Europa League group in terms of opponents, and would surely be grounds for a sacking - but then, all that happened so far is one surprise loss, there are still 5 games to play and we can't seriously be talking like you are about to go out of the group, can we? You should cross that bridge if you ever get there, which I absolutely doubt you will.
I'm pretty sure you will. You do have the quality, you're a much better team than all three others.I think we won't get out of the CL group. We shall see. Hopefully I am wrong.
As for the stuff about it being hard, well of course it is hard being the best. In any case I am not looking for the title, I am looking for performances and competing with them. Whether we win or not.

He always plays them when fit, that is exactly how he feels about them.Geez I’m an Ole skeptic but going after him for defending his players in the press conference is too much. He’s doing his job as a man manager there.
His response to Neville - at least he knows we rush our attacks, but remains to be seen what he does about it.
Yes, and that´s where Ole has to take action and provide some guidance especially to Greenwood. I know Ole tells his strikers to be a bit selfish and try to score, but with Greenwood it´s about finding the right balance. He is right. We had 28 goal attempts. Most of which were rushed and the wrong decision where a simple pass inside would have set up a much clearer chance.

McTominay went missing in the last game, and while I don´t rate Fred very highly in general, I think the stick he got after the last match is a bit unfair. The players have different tasks and it´s not up to him to create chances or to be the creative one. His job is to press and regain possession, which he did quite well.I have no issues even if he said McFred are the best defensive midfield players in the World. It is not what he says is the main issue. It is what happens on the pitch. Micah did a good article. He has to win something this season or he is gone. He may even go before that if we stumble out of the CL and start dropping positions in the PL.
But whom do you bring? Conte may be instant boost but his teams do not play good football. Maybe Marco Rose? All top managers are already taken.
I’m at the point where I honestly feel we deserve what we’re getting. I was sceptical some time ago but these constant sound bites as if we’re done plucky upstart accompanied with the crap we see in Europe is getting ridiculous.Bringing the Cardiff City mentality to Manchester United...
I agree with the overall point, what is worrying is that we persist with starting 2 CMs who struggle to create chances.McTominay went missing in the last game, and while I don´t rate Fred very highly in general, I think the stick he got after the last match is a bit unfair. He was answering a question about McFred. Why not mention the part where he talks about how he has an obligation to win trophies etc? This guy is talking about how well we broke up play against Villa at home & they’ll be people on this forum defending the man. Embarrassing.
Literally, he gets so much rubbish about throwaway comments.. He deserves criticism for a lot but it gets a little silly.I love how this forum has the ability to turn everything Ole says into the worst possible meaning
Definitely. Makes no sense at all. Neville has said himself he dont know what Oles doing, so how can Ole put words in his mouth? Hes hilariousclichéd gibberish from the gaffer as per.
He knows the language extremely well. Never seen him make a mistake. He did not mean that we rush.He is right. We had 28 goal attempts. Most of which were rushed and the wrong decision where a simple pass inside would have set up a much clearer chance.
Our forward line is new again and the cohesion just isn't there yet but it will come.
Yes he clearly did, what are you on about Villa was the perfect example, especially during 45-60 minutes where we were pinned in and Bruno kept launching balls to Greenwood which often led to us simply conceding possession which led to us being under pressure more.We attack too fast.
NOBODY in this forum knows what that even means. Wanna know why? because the man who said it doesnt know either. How can you attack too fast? And dont give me that shit about long balls and no transition. Gimme a break, he did not ever mean that.
How can you attack too fast?
