Think we need to actually get to a CL final before dishing that kind of comment out, don’t you think?
Not just that final, he failed to win with City. Greatest pattern of play coach.

So now he has to make the next step. We nearly won the EL because he messed up a group that was there for the winning. He has to get us out of the CL. He has admitted himself that now he is going to be judged, that it is a 3 year project.....win trophies? He came closer and closer.

What about when Tuchel lost 5-2 at home to West Brom a few months back after being 1-0 up before losing a man?
I mentioned this in the game thread. That we went overboard after the Leeds game and were rubbish in the next games. Then the euphoria after Saturday and it has fallen flat again. He will need to lift them for the weekend.Perhaps our last game where we smashed Newcastle 4-1?
We were clueless in the first half.Perhaps our last game where we smashed Newcastle 4-1?
I haven't said he should be sacked.Yes. So why sack now? Lose to Young Boys 5 games into the season. Fecking daft if you ask me.
You completely miss the point, he wasnt even linked because he wasnt fancied by any of them and the reason was not far fetched, he hasn't really done anything spectacular apart from buying good players for exorbitant prices....You would think Real Madrid or Barcelona trying to offer Ole to leave his beloved club as a realistic offer.
Why would they waste their time writing emails, contracts, hire lawyers for someone they know wouldn't be interested.
Stupid.
You think Real Madrid would try to lure Sir Alex with money, no? Why waste your time like that?
Even better what do you think Ole will say on his press conference with Real Madrid?
"I love United, but managing Real Madrid has always been my dream since I've first started playing FM."
I don't think anybody is kidding themselves that he's some special manager... he's a manager who has made some good squad building decisions, a good man manager and you hope that combined with an excellent squad of players is enough to see us win trophies. But could we do better from a coaching perspective? Absolutely. It's a risk to destabilize things though. But this season for sure if we aren't successful then he should go.
That mentality right there is pathetic, we should be putting that tram to the sword 10 men or not.

But then we smashed them... you realise that football is a game of 2 halves I assume? We were clueless in the first half.
Let's see if he turns it around after a potential freak result. It'll be unforgivable if we fall at the group stage again though.
Ridiculous comment. Last season we got knocked out of the CL becsuse we lost against the group minnows that everyone else beat. Do you trust Solskjaer to get results in Villareal or Atalanta , 2 far superior teams to YB?
Well back then in 2006/7, we had a manger that already had proven it in that competition and in the epl.We are basically where we were when we finished bottom of our group in 2005-06. This United side has no record in Europe, it needs to start from scratch and build one.
Thinking back to our 2006-07 campaign we also had some bad group stage results and edgy wins. It was a team re-learning to be in the Champions League. At that stage in the learning curve you can't take for granted any result.
I would have taken a 1-0 and I am sure we'd have got it but for AWB. We definitely would have got a point but for Lingard.
I am as gutted as anyone but I have some perspective. It's been a long time since we were a European power. The way back there will involve stumbling blocks.
Challenge accepted.Last year we got eliminated because we lost to the minnows in a group of death. It was a freak group without a single draw (only group since 2017 without a draw) and the top 3 teams all beating each other once. Therefore a loss to the bottom team was critical.
We're not in that kind of group this time. Villareal and Atalanta aren't the PSG and Leipzig of last season. These two combined have won 1 out of 6 games in their respective leagues. One of them might find momentum and go on a run but both of them won't get 10+ points. Win our home games and we'll be fine.
It was a shit performance after the red card and Ole got it wrong tactically but being a man down away on an astro pitch isn't an ideal situation. We won't be this shit next time.
Honestly I wouldn't even disagree with that. My assessment was quite a charitable one given how slow this club is to act on these things. No way, brother. That's too late. He should be sacked as soon as us crashing out looks likely. With all the investment this season, a repeat of last years failure is unacceptable.
That's a load of tosh. Because he hasn't ever played CM before, he's expected to underhit a pass, under no pressure back to the goalkeeper, past our defence? Fred was clearly shattered, all Lingard had to do was anything than what he did. It's got sweet feck all to do with a "tactical" decision.Lingard shouldn't have been put in Fred's position for the last 5 minutes, when has he ever played there? Like I've just said, the pass stinks of inexperience of playing that deep role, it's an absolute howler from Lingard but Solskjaer has fecked up by not having Fred see the game out in that position instead. One example of the many dumb tactical decisions made by Solskjaer.
Perhaps our last game where we smashed Newcastle 4-1?
He has played CM before at the world cup (possibly the Euros?) for England. It was utterly brainless from Lingard. That's a load of tosh. Yeah, I'd call a 4-1 thrashing a good performance, but that's just me.The entire first half was pretty underwhelming and until Greenwood forced a spill Newcastle looked quite comfortable. Then it was in the balance at 1-1 until Ronnie fired us in front. Was obviously a fantastic day in the end but wouldn't say we played great or dominated overall.
Leeds for me is the only totally convincing performance we've seen so far.
YesBut then we smashed them... you realise that football is a game of 2 halves I assume?
Been said already but if he fails to get out of this CL group then he has to go.
This is nonsense. Can I have a few of your £75m peanuts?Seeing Lukaku's progress is something that makes me worry, we let him go for peanuts but it's clear to see how good he is with proper coaching, who knows how good our team could really be if we had it.

That last part is a bit false isnt it, when posters have criticism even when we win despite poor level of performances, they are accused of always wanting to criticise Ole and we won so therefore everything is perfect. If there is criticism after a loss, they are called knee-jerk anyway.
No one has come out of hiding.
I don't think Ole should be sacked this very moments but the criticism is there even when we do win matches.
Fred should've seen the game out end of discussion, if he had it would've finished 1-1. The switch fecked with the shape of the midfield, which led to Lingard having a howler trying to play the deep role. It all could've been avoided with better tactics and management. That's a load of tosh. Nah. He's very obviously not up to the job, but as long as we finish top 4, he's safe.
Been said already but if he fails to get out of this CL group then he has to go.
They just scored to be fairTuchel is absolutely ripping Zenit apart now. 6-0 against Zenit, if not it's unforgivable.
We got our money back, he was dreadful and Chelsea have hardly paid that much for him given the scarcity of strikers in Europe. Was a bargain
