I don’t understand him talking about players being tired when he made I believe 1 sub in the last 2 games. Hasn’t integrated VDB at all this season and over uses players to the point of injury.

I've been backing Ole but completely agree with this. I would love for someone to ask him about his substitutions, surprise no one has.

Strange decisions of late have been yesterday's FA Cup line up given we don't play for two weeks and the line up against Real Sociedad for the second leg.

The two decisions totally contradict each other, you could have rested the whole team against Sociedad and made it through to the next round.

After his initial appointment, I was of the view; he is one of the worst managers in the league. I was wrong, Ole has done well overall. Next year he we will be even better because I expect atleast one good signing. His conservative style will ensure top 4 next season as well. Ole outers really need to stop saying that Ole is useless, because he clearly is not. It only destroys their argument.

Ole's vision of football is what I have an issue with. Our gameplan is same against almost everyone and it seems to mainly defend and quick transition to attack heavily dependent on individuals expressing themselves rather than any fixed routines. I just don't see this style leading to a CL or a PL. Forget even that for a bit, I don't enjoy watching our performances even when we win other than the City game.
What the feck is this.

Saying OgS is useless apparently destroys arguments but claiming the team will get better based on signings we’ll make whilst you don’t even rate his football is a coherent argument?

I’ve never called OgS useless, he obviously has his merits but ‘we play the same against every team’ & have done so for 2+ years yet ‘Next year he will be even better’. . . yea ok.

Can't work out why so many still think Ole the right man for the job. My opinion never likely to change, never ever wanted him in the first place. It would take hours and hours to name his bad points and mins to name his good points.

His latest cock up is not playing his best 11 given it was the international break. Knowing at half time we could play the weakest team left in the competition (( on paper ))

I was at least pleased to see him put 4 subs on albeit should of been for the start of the second half. I was astounded to see him leave that useless Fred on the pitch. Can anyone explain why? I give up trying to work out what goes on in Ole's mind.

As a fan I can't win and left frustrated. I'd love to win the Europa Cup but if we do Ole stays. However, knowing Ole he will pick a weaker side ((again )) and state we need to concentrate on top 4 for CL place such what goes on in the crazy head of his.

I'd like to see him change the system over the summer ready for next season, and I have a hunch he will. I don't think we will progress further with the 4231 setup. Hopefully some summer signings will reflect a shift in approach.

Yesterday was our worst performance under Ole I think. An utterly shameful display by pretty much everyone involved and everyone including the manager should be fined a weeks wages. This needs to be the kick up the ass to spur us on to a strong finish now because ii don't think anyone wants to see more of that bollocks.

Not reaching any semi finals in an year

A pretty embarrasing collapse in CL in an easy group

Shitting the bed in the last few game weeks of a season

Losing at home to Blackburn Rovers

Unable to beat Alan Pardew's Newcastle United

Swept out of league cup by Crystal Palace

Guess the season?

Hell, if we're going this way, I can make a similar story for nearly every season for every team
Yes, but you're talking about Fergie vs Ole there. Are you really comparing Ole with the greatest club manager we've ever had. Plus Fergie had more than proven his pedigree by that stage.

I'm not. I'm merely pointing out that the points he's made can be made for nearly any season for every side.

We're not going to do better than top 4 under Ole.

The ceiling has been reached.

Hopefully the board realizes this in the summer.

Cmon mate

For example Spurs 16/17 - their best season in PL. Finished on 86 points but

A pretty embarrasing collapse in CL in an easy group

Shitting the bed whenever they had a chance to close the gap to the top

Drawing to Tony Pulis' WBA

Unable to beat David Moyes' Sunderland

Swept out of EL in Ro32 by Gent

See. These types of posts are really easy to create for any side and add nothing to the conversation. And I believe what Spurs did that season was remarkable

Personally I think he has done a good job to turn around the atmosphere and fortunes around the club after what Jose left. So overall I think Ole has done well and I like him quite a bit.

Saying that I am not convinced he can win us a major trophy (because he is lacking tactically at the top level, and his in game management is poor) so we should be looking at moving on to someone who can

I think the opposite is true. Give Ole PSG squad or Man City squad and he will win. Give Pep or Poch our squad and they will not.
I mean, there's only lightyears between Pep and Ole as managers.

We have to remember that when Ole took over our starting XI looked like this: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Lindelöf, Young, Herrera, Matic, Fellaini, Lingard, Sanchez, Lukaku.

The players remaining from this team are the ones everyone wants to replace now (de Gea, Lindelöf, Matic). The players that Ole has used to get us 2. and into several quarter- and semi-finals have either been bought by him or they were part time players under the previous management. As a result there's very few positions where we don't see a significant drop in quality outside the starting XI.

With some proper backing we might end up with a squad that is capable of challenging in multiple competitions.

Where are Rashford and Shaw? They've always been first choice?

Ole probably shouldnt have shunted Lukaku to the wing then sold him in all honesty. Were still looking for a 9 whilst another manager is getting the best out of him.

Don’t get me wrong Lukaku wasnt perfect but he was the best 9 we had and we still havent got a better one since letting him go.

Ole probably shouldnt have shunted Smalling then complain about wanting a CB with pace so we can play higher up the pitch.

Alot of us want more replaced than DDG Matic and Lindelof. (Personally I would keep Lindelof but thats another story)

I think Lukaku was done before Ole arrived in fairness. His leaving was sort of like putting a lame horse out to pasture. He's a quality striker, but he'd clocked out on multiple levels by the end of his first season here really.

I just still cannot fathom Ole's comments after yesterday's defeat, and the way in which he is so obviously lowering the bar in regards to what this club is wanting to achieve publicly.

I guess he could be doing it to protect his squad, which we all know is over-performing in the league during a season which has unprecedented difficulties. But I don't see how we attract the top players with public comments/ambitions like that.

Really like him - he's a club legend and I want so badly for him to be the one to succeed here - but let's be honest. If any manager since Fergie said what Ole said after being knocked out of a cup quarter final they would have been roasted.

Hope I'm proved wrong, but I just can't see us achieving anything of note for the foreseeable future under his management/Glazer setup. Maybe it's more fool me for thinking we still could!

Trust the process, its all part of the plan. Big changes will happen this summer when it comes to players out and hopefully the right players in. The rebuild aint done yet.

Something I want to point out here, yes we will likely maybe get 1 trophy (Europa) this year, and we wont win the league and maybe challenge next year if we improve again (No doubt we have improved consistency in last year) but what I am afraid of is if ole out fans got their way and we got in a new manager it could all go to crap again. As in not getting top 4, no cups still etc. We just don't know

Does Ole and the Glazers think they can manipulate and trick all the fans about all this progress bs. There is only one measurement for success and it is major trophies. How near we look at winning a major trophy? not even close.

The people you are trusting in are those who have been most reponsible for the mess we are in.

How much more can he get with this team?
And what is he getting so far? Top 4 spot with defensive football and zero cups won. Can we stop please with that theory that this team is some kind average. It is not. This is very good team. And this is HIS team. He bought 8 players and spent 300 mil.
He is small club manager. Everything what he does proves it. His quotes, his management, his prematch decisions, his tactics, his lineups, his approach, his signings....

He is our biggest mistake after Fergie left.

I have been reading this on a regular basis since the day he became a permanent manager.

No need to be worried my friend. It's part of football. We were uniquely lucky to have fergie. That's not normal. LVG got us an fa cup and top 4, Mourinho league cup, europa and top 4. Moyes didn't even last a season. Any manager we get will get us either top 4 and a cup in all probability. We should be aiming high though not settling because of fear of the unknown.

Straight from the horses mouth as they say.

If your not winning your not up to much.

EL or bust.

This is from when got second with Jose. For once I agree with Ole, but it is not the same Ole we have now. The Ole we have now is a yes man to Ed and co.

Why are we only team in rebuilding? And how long that rebuilding will last? It is his 3rd season. Some players who he bought will be out of contract and he will still talk about rebuilding.
There is no long term rebuilding at this level. It is only another excuse for him.

I question whether he has the right coaches around to help him. It's wholesome seeing the club fill our coaching and technical roles with ex players but how successful has that been for us really? Even the immortal SAF felt the need to bring in someone like Queiroz to really help give a tactical edge in bigger games. I just don't think Ole himself has the tactical and coaching proficiency alone to make us a a genuinely top side. If the club is adamant on backing him for the long term (which is a big mistake IMO), then I really want him to be given better help on the coaching front outside of having a forlorn looking Michael Carrick debating with him each game on who their first 87th minute sub should be.

I know that's my point. Ole said himself it's not good enough.

Yet now he is here doing the same thing while winning less trophies its supposedly major progress.

It's absolute nonsense sadly.

If Pogba leaves we have more chance if going backwards next year than we do progressing.
.our rebuilds take so long that by a couple years in they fail because new problems have started

Exactly.

That wasn't any different than the performance against Chelsea last season in the FA Cup, or the countless boring games we've had to endure this season.

I am not sure. Imo we have played a lot worse than we did yesterday and still come out with a win or draw. We have done it many times.

His only objective now is protecting himself and the Glazers.

Contrary to what many believe, he doesn't really give a shit about the fans or the club's standards anymore.

What a complete load of shite.

Well done, that’s 100% pure shite, quite rare that.
