maybe we could merge this thread with toms tribute,as this thread has loads of great photos in it too.

Credit to yourself and Tom and anyone else who supplied material, outstanding threads, both of them. Really enjoyed my history lesson and makes Manchester United and Old Trafford even more magical

3 May 1993
Old Trafford had waited 26 years to acclaim the champions. The first Premier League title had been won the previous day. This was a time to party. A sensational atmosphere for a hungover United's 3-1 win over Blackburn.

I've been meaning to ask for ages, how was it won the day before and then we were playing again the next day?

Here's another photo I found recently. Not sure exactly when it was taken, but the gable had no mural on it for the first match, so this is obviously taken later (click, then go to "all sizes" for a bigger image):

I reckon it was probably taken in the winter of 1994/95 or 1993/94. Not sure what that marquee kind of thing is in the foreground though.

So what do the internals of OT look like? I've been to Several stadiums and its just mostly wide concrete hallways on each level.

Just like any other stadium inside. Concrete hallways, metal stairs, toilets, refreshment kiosks selling over-priced knats piss beer, etc. Nothing at all interesting, probably because it has all been rebuilt over the last couple of decades.

according to the M.E.N, this is Wilf McGuinness in the scoreboard end in the early 1950´s

It is, mentioned it on programme on MUTV last night. He was actually the "face in the crowd" and won the princely sum of 5 shillings
