Just in case you didn't get my PM. Can't play tonight now. Am out all day tomorrow, back at 5ish but then off to the football in the evening and will be back at 10.30/11 so maybe delay until tomorrow? If not Thursday. Sorry
 
Can't say I'm a fan of playing against the other side of Europe with 1 red bar latency, although it was flickering up and down a bit and I guess it's the same for both so was just a bit sour lol :nervous:. No excuses though after missing 2 chances in the first leg with some deadly finishing from Bordeaux.

2nd leg Niang was on fire.

Bordeaux 2-1 Fenerbahce
Bordeaux 1-4 Fenerbahce

it finished.
 
Don't know what was up with the connection because it was usually good, and I've played people from across the ocean - probably my housemate downloading porn or something.

I played it tidy in the first leg but made too many errors in the second one, that 4th goal from Niang really killed the game, at 3-1 I might have been able to get another one, at 4-1 I felt defeated. You are kind of good at this game to be fair, so no shame.

Haven't got around to scout my opposition just yet, I'm assuming Guiza, Alex and Emre are the main threats? I'm all about Fellaini though, I think he's scored all my 4 goals.

As for FIFA11, haven't found my preferred formation yet, used 4 different ones in all games.

4-2-3-1, 3-5-2, 4-1-4-1, 4-1-2-1-2 etc.

Dan has already beat me, but thanks for dangling a bit of hope infront of me that's cheered me right up.

...and in the second game I got pretty much raped, 4-1.

Don't know what my defenders were doing in that second game, I had set team mentality to defensive, just like in that first game where he couldn't get past me, and in the second game my defenders decided to play extremely high up in the pitch, so within ten minutes of the game Ronaldo had had three one on ones with the keeper through threaded through passes, and scored two of them.
 
Well played there Makki.

First game was really tight, we both defended very well.

In the second game when I scored that first goal it gave me lot of confidence to get a few more, and yeah your defense did have a high line which was strange seen as you said you had your mentality to Defensive.

Nah they were good games, especially the first. Just took my chances early. Werders defence is pretty mean with Mertesecker and Naldo

RonaldoNo.9 I am away from Saturday till Sunday evening so shall we try and get our game in at some point on Friday?

I should be back from 4pm and not much on in the evening. Let me know
 
Yeah I think we'll get our games done that day too, would be good to have them played around the same time

The dream is over :( Two good games though, just beaten by a 90th minute winner in the first game for 3-2 after coming back from 2-0 down. 2nd ended 0-0 (though we went to ET for the sake of it and that finished 1-1 with a 120th min equaliser from Niang (8th of the tournament :cool:) and a victory on pens :D So I had something to cheer...

Deserved win for Jacob though, I couldn't cope with his (some would say ping pong ;)) passing which was deadly and was trying to contain for the majority. Could have been different as Howard made save after save from headers in the 2nd leg which needed someone like Cahill or Fellaini on the end but it wasn't to be. Shame it rained in the 2nd leg as my pace tactic was blown out but it didn't help in the 1st leg so I doubt it would have made a difference.

First game was really entertaining, I was on the edge of my couch all the time :lol: chance after chance at both ends, good stuff. Managed to hit the same post three times in two games! Although it could've gone either way, Howard was brilliant as was Niang.
 
Jacob, you've made a typo on the first page. 'Price' instead of 'Prize'.
 
oh right, thank you! some might see it as a price mind you! beeing unveiled as a game freak on an internet forum
 
Yeah i will be on in about 10 minutes or so mate, just have to wait for the tele to be freed from this xfactor shite
