Noussair Mazraoui | Welcome to United

NM:
“It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player, and I cannot wait to walk out at Old Trafford wearing the red shirt. I know that I’m joining the club at an exciting time; everyone I’ve spoken to has the same ambition for us to win trophies together and I can feel the determination to achieve that.”

”Erik ten Hag played an important part in my development as a player, so it is exciting to be reuniting with him as I enter the prime years of my career. I know what he expects from his players, and I will give everything to help the group be successful.”

Dan Ashworth:
“Noussair is a dynamic, attacking full-back who can play on both the right and left side of defence. His experience and versatility will make him an excellent addition to our squad.

“Having already won a number of trophies in his career, we know that Noussair’s winning mentality will be a real asset to the group as we work together to deliver the success required of Manchester United.”

With Shaw out again and Malacia’s mystery endless injury he will actually play a lot more than potentially some anticipated.

Hopefully he can stay fit himself to do so.

Welcome to the club Mazraoui! Excited to see him play at OT. We need full backs and I think he will get loads of game time this season.

Welcome to the club…Mazzy?… Noosey?

It seems like as long as he stays fit, he will be good for us.

And yes Ashworth is truly Tom Cruise sized

Welcome!! A double announcement on the same day!! We have been spoiled. When was the last time it happened?

never seen the lad play but i certainly hope he's bringing some attacking ability out of the fullback position

Delighted to get this one across the line. Great to see the manager being given the tools to play his kind of football.

Do we think this is an INEOS/Ashworth signing, or a Ten Hag one?

It feels weird if they’ve hired a recruitment head, sporting director, technical director etc just to keep getting Ten Hag’s signings. But then it seems coincidental that we’re still signing so many players with links to him, Eredivisie or Holland

Basically swapped AWB for Maz, seems a superb move and he and Dalot can both play LB if needed

If we can just alternate his, Shaw's and Malacia's injuries, we'll be laughing.

Step 1: Keep him fit for three games until Shaw is allegedly back....

Hope he can stay fit for as long as he will be required to given Shaw and Malacia will likely be MIA for a while

Mazraoui is a very very good player, I think he’ll surprise everyone just how good he is. One of the best players to play for Ajax in the past decade and one of the best FB’s in the World imo. Only worry is his injury record, but he’s also been unlucky in that respect.

Look forward to seeing him play. From what I understand, he played LB for Bayern a few times? If so, with Shaw and Malacia out, you'd expect him to play there for us, too. Alternatively, ten Hag could play him as a right back, with Dalot on the left.
