Northern Ireland Milk Cup 2009

Probably, there hasn't been any official confirmation of his signing yet either as far as I know.

He's sat with the subs in a United tracksuit so it's probably fair to assume he's definitely signed...

Cofie's been pretty tall for a while as far as I can remember.

Terribly scrappy game at the minute, pitch isn't helping by the looks of it.

stupid sending off, co.antrim have thrown a few hard tackles in but you have to get used to that playing for one of the big boys.

There were quite a lot of heavy challenges going in that the ref let go, and niggly late challenges - I'm sure the guy who took out King was the same one who was booked later. I can see why he would be frustrated, but still a stupid reaction.

Just interviewed Dave Bushell......

He didn't say it but I reckon he is upset by some of the challenges going in. I think some of the Antrim players are happy just to kick us......really heavy challenge on King, Fryers and one or two others.

Two good goals and then a stupid sending off.

On the other points....Massacci has been in Manchester for a few weeks. He has played in both behind doors tournaments over that period. Our website is crap at making announcements so I wouldn't read anything into that. I think it's safe to assume that he has signed and is out there with the squad to get a feel of how things work.

John Cofie has always been tall and strong. He was over 6ft last year.

I was a bit worried about discipline from the moment their captain got booked (an annoying niggly player called Shearer? who'd have thought it). Seemed like a few of our players were close to bubbling over a bit. I guess it's natural for teams in this situation to try and both make a name for themselves and to try and get one over on their more vaunted opposition, but they took it too far at times that half.

Sending off was total stupidity on Morrison's part. He had been a stand out for us

Dave Bushell alluded to being unhappy with Antrim's approach.

Keane has looked far better in a more withdrawn role. Looks a good footballer. Hussain also looks very elegant and creative, although he's misplaced a few passes.

I just remember Cofie looking very powerful for a player his age earlier in the year, he looks a little more lanky. It may just be my poor memory! He's grown into the game quite well, is quite elusive on the ball.

Thanks for the update on Massacci, look forward to seeing him play for the Academy. I recall someone linking to Henry Winter's twitter account and he said we were after 2 young Italians, I assume Massacci was one of them.

Bit of karma with the lad who injured King going off hurt.

Bit of a lucky escape...

Ngoo for Brady after 64, looked like Michael Keane went off too?

Edit: he did, Larnell Cole on.

Thats one big lad that has just came on!

Must say that the team in general all look technically sound, only thing that has let us down is our final ball. An exciting batch.
