Nordic Ghost Yeti (Scandi Carroll) | Haaland at City

This is what happens. This is what a decade of terrible decisions from top to bottom at our club has done to us. Dire on the pitch, dire in recruitment, and watching much smaller clubs pull the worlds best and most promising players. Players simply don't want to come to United any more. It will take a miracle for ETH and us to turn this around and be challenging again in the next 5 years. This transfer highlights everything that is wrong with us, and everything that is wrong with world football. The biggest, most prestigious clubs plundered, having the blood sucked out of us whilst we die on the field, whilst small clubs with apathetic fans, no history get a bottomless pot of gold. Honestly feck everything about this and the situation we are in. I hate the glazers, and I hate my own team (love the club). Darkest days as a red. fecking bleak

I am completely apathetic to this. Great transfer for City but it has zero relevance to us as United fans. We are not challenging them regardless.

True, but it still stings watching other teams doing stuff like this. We are in it for the long haul. City will be unstoppable now, if theres one consolation its that Liverpool won't likely go on to dominate. What am I saying? What have I become. I am an empty shell of a man

Calm down.

They will probably score a really similar number of goals to what they have scored the last few seasons, more will just come from one player.

Little City have you well rattled though, you can't shut up about them. You've become everything you belittled City fans for.

I can only speak for myself, but I think most United are just glad you're there to stop Liverpool winning everything nowadays, we all know where your money comes from, and why United are where they are just now.

Numerically, yes, it might not change much, however, I think the main difference would be the clutch moments. In close games he's far more likely to rescue a match through an individual action than Jesus or Sterling, or indeed Mahrez for that matter.

This will probably lead to us chasing Kane or Bale all summer

Like when they wanted Sanchez and we signed him.

Anyway, it's a great move for his own career. Surprised that Liverpool didn't go for him though.

They're hardly comparable. One is a world class striker arguably in his peak, the other is washed out semi-retired amateur golfer.

I don't think we'd be able to afford Kane, but I'd be more than happy if we managed to get him as a consolation. We aren't exactly in a position to turn our noses at players like him considering we're the current banter club of the PL.

Oaf. Too limited. Not technical enough. Overpaid. Tap in merchant. Just a German Lukaku. Will get found out. Pep will bench him in 3 games.

feck.

I don't think even the most loyal City fan believes that's all its costing them.
If the narrative is City's success is because they spend a lot of money and Man Utd doesn't for the past 10 years, then sure.

I hate threads like this City sign Haaland shocker the rest of the Premier league may as well not turn up next season reading some of the comments on here.

This doesn't matter to us in the slightest. It's like moving the Sun away from Pluto another 500 million miles. Utterly irrelevant. :wenger: :wenger:

To Liverpool and Chelsea though City just became unstoppable.

Can we write off next season too?

Next season is going to be rough. We will be embedding a new playing style, half a dozen new players and won't be shopping at the truly elite table.

If we finish top 6 next season that will be deemed success for me. Klopp got 8th then 5th at Liverpool.

Gonna take this thread, bring to my kitchen and pour all the salt on my potatoes. Tasty.

But the real question is.....Did you buy the ingredients yourself or get a rich man from the UAE to buy them for you?

;)

Bunch of wimps aren’t they. Pathetic
Honestly, what can we do about it?

We are where we are through years of mismanagement and wasting eye watering sums of money.
It just depresses me coming on here and seeing our supporters so pissed off over a rivals signing whilst City and Liverpool fans laugh at them on a Utd forum.

I genuinely thought they would be all in for Martinez, am intrigued to see how Haaland does in that system. Agreed though, let everyone else do whatever they want, our focus has to be on sorting out the shitshow which has been years and years in the making.

Oh what a surprise even Utd's own journalist Ducker is talking up him snubbing Utd, please Erik get here and take my mind away from this game changing blockbuster transfer deal because this is sickening right now

That's fecking cheep for the best striker in the world, feck. Depressing. Did we even make a bid?
 would either answer make you feel any better? There was no way he was coming to this absolute shit show of a club. Would have been the worlds stupidest decision to join us right now.

Just think ,if United had added a release clause to their offer, we could be selling him to City for a big profit. actually making money off a player sale, a rare concept in the post fergie era. that is of course if you believe some of the reports that Dortmund adding one and United not having one/not willing to add one is what swayed the deal, and then two his value actually increasing while playing at United. He's going to score at least 3 goals against us in the two fixtures next year. Two off of crosses into the box for easy tap ins, and a header goal.

Yeah utterly dreading facing him these next 4 or 5 years

It's a bit stupid to ask why he didn't join us, it's probably more interesting to ask why he didn't join Liverpool or any of the other elite European clubs.
