Nordic Ghost Yeti (Scandi Carroll) | Haaland at City

I think their football analysis is the same but I might be biased here since I think at least Keane can be funny. I think he has brilliant comedic timing and seems like good fun to his friends. Souness just sounds miserable all the time with his everything new is nonsense rhetoric.
Agreed. I would much rather be stuck in a lift with Keano than Souness. At least I wouldn't have to listen to ramblings such as this:

Also, just to circle back on the Haaland/Pogba comparisons, I can't see a world where Keane is writing in newspaper columns in 10 years time about how he was right about Haaland.

”Behaving like a spoiled brat” ….says the man who threw his toys out of the pram and walked out on his team during the World Cup.

Ffs

Roy is just saying it how it is, the league two comment has been massively exaggerated. We all know Haaland is a monster in front of goal, it was his general play he was referring too. I think you know that.

I agree it's pure hyperbole on Keane's part and not just Keane but a sad indictment of what punditry has become. Sound bytes of pundits trying to go viral.

My point really is though Erling dismissing Keane is hardly Keane living rent free in his head, whilst Keane's recent Haaland infatuation shows what he's become, which is a shame cause he was a quality pundit before he took on his current style.

Keane is a pretty embarrassing pundit.

He is clearly clueless about modern day football, and gets by on (admittedly often entertaining) soundbites and repeating a series of buzzwords / catch-phrases such as 'character', 'leadership', 'desire', 'good / bad dressing room' etc.

He's more suited to the light-hearted 'Stick to Footbal'' chats, than any serious football analysis.

And I agree that if Ronaldo threw a tantrum after getting subbed off, he'd be leaping to his defence. He made himself look like a gutless coward when he refused to criticise Solskjaer during the back end of his reign, and then immediately ranted about Carrick and McKenna being put in temporary charge for literally a few games following his sacking.

Found his form again at the right time.
One thing is the goals but like the end of last season he has again started showing improvement in his all-round game. Seems to be very confidence based in this regard. Important that he doesn't regress in this aspect again for large parts of the season next year

If he hadn't scored, it'd be another example of a big game he failed to score in, but since he scored I'm guessing this doesn't qualify as a big game?

I thought he was poor in the game but that's his influence on the team, not really there to be pivotal in the phases of play but solely score the goals, showed great composure for the penalty.

27 goals in the league, 6 ahead of the next guy, and it's his bad season. I'm a bit fed up with him and City not gonna lie

Calm down petal, you clearly have an issue with the man.

To say he's clueless about 'modern day football' is silly. He oversimplifies, sure, but that's also part of the nature of being on TV. Would you consider yourself more or less clued up than Roy Keane on footie?

And how did he look like a 'gutless coward' by refusing to slag his mate off, when the rest of the media were in hopping on that bandwagon. For what it's worth, I think Ole was in completely over his head, but Keano supporting him was absolutely not a gutless act. Unless you think gutless means something totally different.

The caption on Haaland’s first goal said about how easy a finish it was but his movement was excellent. That’s why he scores a goal a game for everyone he plays for and has done since he was 17. De Bruyne must love to play with him, put the ball in a dangerous area and guaranteed that he’s there.

That is how “easy” goals are scored.
But they are not easy.
De bruyne has to make the initial run, has to put it on a plate without looking up (which he didn’t in the last second or so) and haaland has to trust that he’ll put it there.
Looks easy but it’s anything but.
Great players make difficult things look easy.
Contrast with our players I don’t think anyone makes the de bruyne run and hoijlund doesn’t make that run either as it never fecking happens for us:
It’s coaching and a bit of brilliance. I think we may have the latter but not the former

Agreed, Haaland would still score 20 goals for United in this team I fully believe, he makes runs that Hojlund and other players don’t make. I don’t think he would make us into a title contending team but he would do his job and show up how badly our strikers actually perform. I like Hojlund and think he’s doing a solid job considering his lack of experience but Haaland shows up what a striker could actually be doing. De Bruyne too in terms of passing.

Martinez had him in his pocket all day. Diving cry baby when he's not getting his bully boy way.

At some point he's going to realize he's not going to win the Ballon d'Or with City and pack his bags to move to Barcelona or Madrid after Pep leaves next year.

I think money and competing for the biggest trophies will see him stay. This whole thing with players moving clubs to win the ballon d'or is relatively new.

I think he'll go this summer if Real stump up the money, from what ive heard there are a few in their squad that want to leave this summer.

He successfully completed his job of standing at the back post and waiting for a tap in to be provided. Not really his fault that it never came.

De Bruyne provides him a couple of pinpoint crosses between his eyes 5 yards out and people will have been clamouring for him to be given the Ballon d'Or again.

More concerned with trying to gain an unfair advantage than actually trying to affect the game with his ability

You could tell he didn't fancy it today at all

It's strange to see what looks like 10ft orges cock in a bad wig being frightened to death of a 4ft Argentinian Rat baby but there you go
