READ & COMPREHEND - What I have said is that many clubs have spent a lot but have built their spending power through footballing success on the pitch. I included Liverpool and United as they have had the most success between them post war and this has provided them with the opportunity to maximise revenue based on footballing success and re-invest. I argued that the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, City have not built success from being successful on the pitch, no they were all crap and then built success from being given money that wasn't earned as a result of any footballing success by those clubs. Newcastle will join that club soon.

Really don’t think Haaland’s body is going to be able to handle the next few years and I reckon he will be out consistently with injuries. The last season is a sign of things to come I reckon.
He is a fast explosive player - but he is a large tall player - that is an unusual combination - add into that a lethal finisher and he looks unbelievable.
However that style and that size, especially with rapid youth growth tends to lend itself to muscular injuries- especially hamstring.
I think his biggest challenge going forward is going to be able to stay fit. He is now upping the physicality of play significantly now that he will be in the EPL and although he is joining the most proactive attacking team in the league I still think that it’s not going to be as easy as some think.

I hope Haaland and Mbappe never play on the same team, especially if Haaland proves to be capable of staying injury free and shows he can actually pose a challenge to Mbappe in the years to come
Real/La Liga were still attractive place to go back then when Ronaldo joined them, as they have been one of biggest spender, they are in middle of their Galacticos era, while La Liga still a very strong league in general, with Barca winning a couple of CL before Ronaldo left us. I doubt that would still be the same in few years time, with the strong inflow of TV money into PL which will create even larger gap from other league.
Not really. Real Madrid started their Galacticos era with Ronaldo and Kaka and Benzema in summer 09. Ronaldo was their first signing. They hadn't gotten past the round of 16 in ages and lost 5-0 to Liverpool that year or the year before, and Liverpool were hardly the best team around. Barcelona was a different case, as they had won the CL that year, but Real Madrid were a bit shit at the time. Right now Real Madrid is in the CL final after recently winning 3 CL in a row, are signing Mbappe on a free this summer to add to their team, and regardless of PL money, they will always remain as the pinnacle for pretty much all players to have on their resume. The PL has had the most money for ages now, Real Madrid and Barcelona with their fans back will get their finances normalized again and will go back to spending big without too many issues. Their wages have always been stupid high anyway.
