Can't choose just three, i'm a picky bastard at the best of times. Nirvana are one of my favourite bands. Heres a few that i think stand out :
You Know Your Right - still find it hard to believe this didn't manage to get a release sooner, Cobain's voice and singing are so powerful and you can tell he's singing straight from the soul. I think this track helps to sum up what Nirvana was.
Rape Me - Like many of Nirvana's songs the lyrics could have so many different meanings but most usually did have meanings / a purpose.
Lithium - Love the chord progression.
Breed - One of my favourite songs, very punk rock. Steve Earle's version is also good.
School - So energetic and "alive", it sounds like the sort of song which was made up in a jam, sounds very natural.
Where Did You Sleep Last night (unplugged) - I know this isn't a Nirvana song, but their version was incredible.
All Apologies and Scentless Apprentice deserve mentions aswell.
It's weird and coincidental that only yesterday i was craving Nirvana. Me and a few mates were talking and someone asked the question "Are there any bands you regret not seeing" my only response was Nirvana.
Also Nevermind is one of the best albums ever made.

I was a massive fan for ages. Kurt Cobain was a true genius. But there's only so many times you can listen to the same tunes. Great band though, I'd have them up with the greatest of all time.

Seriously, Cobain was sad wanker with bad issues yet is reverred as some sort of musical genius.
If he hadn't died would he still be as thought of today? Nah, people would've cottoned on he was a depressed nobhead with homosexual tendencies, that's obviously why he topped himself.
I havn't claimed him to be a musical genius, I just like most if not all of thier songs.

It's no coincidence most of these stupid American cnuts who go shooting their classmates have all been grungey little twats, affected by Nirvana's gloomy outlook on life and Cobain's 'ah well, let's blow our heads off for a laugh' either directly or indirectly as what Nirvana did was to spawn thousands of clone bands who promoted this gloomy, suicidal ideology.
What was interesting was Dave Grohl is actually quite a chirpy character with upbeat tunes in the Foo Fighters, whom I'm not a big fan of, but he didn't go down the road as Nirvana, writing 'slit your wrists' music...

Listened to In Utero through a couple of nights ago for the first time in years, it's just incredible. I'm not gonna list tunes cos I love pretty much all of them, but Milk It just blew me away.

Arguably the most influential rock band of the nineties. My fave tune by them is probably Lithium.
I supopse when you think about it, Gerard Way is just a modern day Kurt Cobain...
I liked Nirvana a lot. Perhaps a little overrated, but a good band nonetheless, and Kurt always seemed like a really nice bloke.

Great music but the ending made me rethink my opinion of the band.
It is nice to hear the songs now and again but I don't go out of my way to do so. His brutal demise tainted the memory for me and was completely opposite to the spirit and energy of the music.

What the hell, I like Nirvana for the rock side (which is actualy how I see them - a rock band) I actualy have a very odd music taste for my age, I seem to love the classics and classic rock and I like it because it makes me unique in my age group so shut the feck up about this you only like them cause your trying to fit in bollocks.
