Nice One Boys

Wouldn't it just be better for the fans who are behind Giggs to outsing those who boo him instead of moaning about them shout them down.

So you're not acknowledging the fact that booing takes place at matches? It happened last night apparently - did you not hear?

Don't try and be a smart arse! I heard very well. I was disgusted at the booing of Giggs. Tell me....when was the last time a utd player was booed? Maybe you do this a lot? Don't try and play the incident down. Giggs has been a loyal to us fans and the club. He doesn't deserve the kind of SHIT some so called fans gave him last night! I could understand if he had the reputation of someone like Lee Bowyer but he doesn't and therefore no player should be treated like that! DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THE FUSS IS ABOUT NOW, DANS, or do you want people to spell it out in telly tubby speak?

Your a stupid cnut aren't you? Where did I say it was something I condoned? It happens at matches. Simple fact of footballing life. Now feckin read the posts before spouting your self righteous drivel.

I bet he's been in the West stand Lower though? ;)

Dans is a fecking disgrace. Has been to Old Trafford? has he feck. I doubt whether the muppet's been within 20miles of Manchester.

Everyone boos their players, so its ok indeed.

I didn't hear booing. I wasn't near the dug-out, but I didn't hear booing.

Bit of jeering, but no booing.

Somebody may have booed, but I didn't hear it.

Lets recap...

Nobody booed.

Most of the "day-trippers" I know are so excited at being there they don't stop singing from the time they leave till the time they get home, which obviously includes being at the game.

Just because some people are geographically and/or financially bound doesn't mean that they're going to be less of a supporter when they get there.

Unlike some of those who are able to attend week in week out and take it for granted.

Mad panick, got there 5 to 8, managed to nick a cheeky spot on the wharf... parked on the curb... got in 3 minutes after kick off...

Look Dans, I don't like having digs at people on here bcoz most of us are loyal fans and sing our hearts out for the lads and all that..... All I'm saying is don't make this issue sound frivalous. Very rarely have I heard fans booing their own players nevermind a utd player. I agree that it happens but can you tell me when was the last time you heard fans booing their own players?

So, sorry if I came across as patronising but I'm gutted for Giggs. He deserves better than to be booed!

Fair dos mate, but although I understand your point and I wouldn't do it myself I do think it's all a bit hysterical frankly. So he was booed? Get on with it, keep putting in the effort and show us what he can do - silence them.

Booing is another form of criticism, something which many don't like on here, but it happens. It's got to be lived with and when it does as the testaments of others in this thread suggest, it's an insignificant minority anyway.

As for you 26, I'm sorry to see your not above calling me a glory hunter, I'm not sorry I'm a United fan though whatever you may think. feck ya.

Agreed - also, no matter how much Giggs may have done for the club previously, this does not mean he is beyond criticism. Not to be booed etc (although I doubt this happened the way it sounds) but there is nothing wrong with realistic discussion.

The problems he seems to have now have been building up for a long time.

I was sitting in the corner of the scoreboard end and I didn't hear any booing but plenty of ironic cheers when Giggs was subbed which, given Giggs' poor level of performance and apparent lack of effort yesterday, was perhaps understandable?

I don't think anyone doubts his immense talent or the impossibility of replacing him but there is a strong perception that he can't be arsed (which is very different to questioning his ability) which frustrates and irritates the crowd, and yesterday that simply boiled over.

I don't and will never condone booing one of your own players (if there actually was any yesterday), but I do understand the sense of frustration at seeing a United player not giving his all.

NO united player should get booed. Criticism after the match, fair enough.... but booing isn't a part of 'supporting'. Certainly not during 90 mins.

but, he wasn't booed

No one was booed. I tell a lie... thompson was booed, dirty little tw*t. Referee was booed...

Giggs wasn't booed.

Booed, abused, whatever, it's all the same to me, RUDDY was sat there and says:

sat in the stretty tonight made me fecking cringe
the abuse giggs took from his own fans was a fecking discrace, granted hes going through a bad patch but this is really gonna help him

It's not fecking on. cnuts!

Murt

Tell me again how your fans at a stadium you've never been to wouldn't boo their own players as ours did Murphy.... ;)

Booing your own players is bang out of order, no matter what club or how crap they're playing..

if the efforts there how can one boo or jeer - if not than a player should expect it. if giggs is trying than maybe he's just needing a long rest than he's getting. but i'd have no trouble jeering off a player that did half a job on effort or lack there of. but who walks around on the red devils????? no one.

looks like both clubs have got their fair share of glory fans......

its a fecking joke, id back ryan giggs for the rest of his Playing days, if it was a choice of veron, becks or giggs! giggs would get my choice,
fecking glory supporters, i wish the would feck off and support the ARSEholes

Chill Weaste.

RUDDY must have been in a Stretford End far, far away from mine cause I didn't here no booing.

There were cheers when the substitution was announced and amid the applause for Ole, I heard some jeering.

No booing though.

More offensive IMO was a bloke right at the front of the Stretty end shout "feck off to Italy, Giggs you lazy money grabbing bastard."

But there was no booing, I don't care where RUDDY was.

er...and thats better than booing?

I would have to agree with markorm, there was no booing, just ahem ironic cheers when Giggs was subbed mingled with some geniune cheers for Ole.
