NHL season 2005-2006

colorado made a terrible trade IMO, acquired Jose Theodore, traded Aebischer

You thought that was bad, WTF was K-Lo thinking sending a First round pick and conditional 3rd rounder for Dwayne Roloson? Then places Morrison on the waivers.... Roloson is an upgrade on what we had, but he's not in the class to give up a first round pick for.

Mind you I have heard that the Yotes, wanted either Hemsky, Schremp or Stoll, plus picks for the Oil to grab Cujo off them. So we got away a little bit with just a couple of draft picks.

that's an awful trade, what were they thinking

I don't rate Aebischer but Theodore is a extreme gamble considering his wage and form this year and he's injured atm and will be back in time for the play-offs if Colorado make the play-offs, Colorado are now depending on 2 inexperienced keepers to take them there...

Theodore isn't really inexperienced, he's played 5 more years in the NHL than Aebischer. His wages are ridiculously high however, that's why I'm happy to see him go even if Aebischer is not nearly as good as he is.

I wish him well in Colorado (except when they play us), he's won us many important games on his own but just couldn't cope with the pressure and the lifestyle he was living in Montreal anymore.

I didn't mean Theodore when I said 2 inexperienced keepers I meant Budaj and Kolesnik that Colorado have to depend on the rest of the regular season. Hopefylly Theodore will be back for the play-offs:nervous:

He injured himself slipping down the stairs if you're wondering.

Montreal just got Todd Simpson off the Chicago Blackhawks ofr 6th round pick. Not quite sure what to make of this, he's hardly the guy that's gonna take us far in the playoffs should we make them.

call me a part time supporter but i can't stand john ferguson acquiring Luke Richardson, NOT AT ALL

that's another very bad trade as well. Very good for Minnisota. I ran upstairs to post the Theodore trade and missed the Roloson one.

oh btw, J2F, i couldn't stop laughing at how Theodore injured himself  out 6-8 weeks huh, but hey, Aebischers' statistics looks better than Theodores'

Theodore has been shit this season, at Colorado he will start from scratch and will at least try to regain the form he had when he won the Vezina and Hart Trophy. Theodore on form is a miles better keeper than Aebischer will ever be so I'm quite happy with this trade tbh, the only thing I dislike is that he won't be back until the play-offs...

feck Svatos injured for 4-5 months good night this season:(

Habs won 3-0 tonight at Boston and Tampa Bay lost at Buffalo.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but it's looking pretty good for the playoffs :) .

Huet or Aebischer in goal?

Edit it looks like Yann Danis was in goal.

It was Huet. Aebischer is supposed to arrive in Montreal today.

I hope Aebisher doesn't get the automatic number one spot, Huet deserved it, it was his 4th shoutout this season and he has played really well since he replaced Theo.

Yan Danis will be off to the AHL.

Another shoutout for Huet tonight. Happy days!

*touches wood*

Yeah it looks like you guys are the winners in the Huet-Garon trade.

We got Radek Bonk too in that trade though and he's absolutely useless.

Colorado gave away Regehr:( ,Belak:lol: and Corbet for Fleury that played 24 games for Colorado I think...

hey you should thank us for thrashing the lightning tonight hehe...

Tellqvist had a good game, I can't believe Burke is still playing how long does some of the players in NHL intend to continue playing?

Oh and Colorado beat the Flames with 3-0 tonight Budaj's first shutout:cool:

what happened with the Flyers? 2-0 Pittsburgh, was that their first shout out of the season?

Hasek's 41, Belfour will be 41 this April.

Flyers isn't that great very overrated team.

I think Luc Robitaille is the oldest player in the league. And we went to the same high-school.

Thanks for beating Tampa Bay btw Jaqueline, now if you could let us give you a good trashing everytime we play you from now on it'll be appreciated too.

March 23rd Toronto @ Montreal
March 25th Toronto @ Montreal
fill free ;) so we can sack john ferguson and pat quinn

Luc Robitaille — Date of Birth: 17 February 1966
Dominik Hašek — Date of Birth: 29 January 1965
Ed Belfour - Date of Birth: 21 April 1965

The problem with Thorton was in the dressing room.

Habs lost to Tampa Bay yesterday. Not best pleased.

Ok but they got a couple of "average" second liners for him, so it will always be a shit trade. Btw what happened in the Bruins locker room?

Nothing special, he just wasn't getting on with his teamates.

 no one can beat the Eric Lindros trade -
six players (including Peter Forsberg, Mike Ricci, Ron Hextall and Steve Duchesne), two first-round draft choices(93' and 94') and $15 million to the Nordiques for Lindros....

My second favourite trade ever:D

After the trade that brought Roy to Colorado.

Patrick Roy - he's amazing!

Yes my fav player ever I wanted to jump from a building when he announced that he was going to quit.

I placed $5 on Ottawa winning by 2 goals(or more) against Tampa tonight, they'd better do me good lol
