NHL 2024/2025

Jets are in, the season is not a total collapse! :D

That Pens score was rough for them, the season on the line and they lose to Chicago.

Kinda sucks that the 2 Eastern Conference series that would gather the most viewership numbers only start tomorrow instead of having at least one starting today.

No disrespect to Panthers/Bruins and Islanders/Hurricanes, but they won't gather as many viewers as Rangers/Devils and Lightning/Leafs though. I will stay up late to watch Kings/Oilers though.

Wow, has every lower seed in the West won the first game? Wonder if that's ever happened before. Makes for a few good series, hopefully.

Also, Leafs

Solid win by the Jets against Vegas.
What a warrior Barron is, 75 stitches to the face and still returns to finish the game!

How did the Lightning look? Fell asleep watching the Rays & missed the entire game. Scoreline seems a comfortable win.

forecheck in the first minute was about as good as you’ll ever see, then Leaf’s just compounded their mistakes. If you watch tampas Second goal, you might think Justin holl had money on Tampa winning.

Watched the highlights, but didn't see the forecheck. Glad we turned up in both the first & sexond periods. Brayden Point is such a crucial player for us.

This cat received over 75 stitches & still made it back on the ice...

Surely, he cannot start next game with such a mare. At least he can't play as many minutes as yesterday.

The big question now is what the Lightning will do with Hedman and Cernak both out. Bunting's cnutish check on Cernak's head was really bad in terms of consequences.

Looks like Heddy will be a gametime decision.

Raddysh apparently played a career high minutes in his first playoff game. He seems to be the Hedman replacement at least in body.

If the Leafs once again fail to go beyond the first round, should they be banned from future playoffs?

Their coach and GM will immediately be fired this time. Can actually see the city rioting if they lose.

Let the conspiracy theories begin in Toronto...

...except for the fact that the Leafs had a 5-0-1 record when McCauley was the referee during the regular season.

Everyone's going to get sacked if the Leafs get ditched in the first round. A riot may be a little bit much considering that they don't have such history.

Switched over to the Rangers game and it will never not be weird to see Kane in that jersey.

He just scored to make it 4-1 to the Rangers.

@calodo2003 With the game in Toronto out of sight since the 2nd period, why did Jon Cooper not give Vasilevskiy a break? The man already played 60 season games, and a break for 20 minutes would not be a bad idea in the current context.

What a glorious bounce back win. Vaselevsky looks way off it.

Didn’t watch it. I don’t think he’s a real big proponent of pulling goalies, but I could be completely off here.

UrinatingTree is first and foremost a Penguins fan. Man, he does not pull back punches in the post-mortem about the Penguins' failure to make the playoffs.

I agree with him: they should have purged the team and sold assets after the time when the Habs shat on them in the 2020 bubble playoffs.

Leafs stole a game - it’s usually the reverse in the play offs for this team. ROR was a massive pick up.

Down by 2 games to 1 in the series and now down by 2 goals in Game 4, the Oilers are probably the first favorites to be in SERIOUS trouble.

Until that team learns how to play defensively tight and disciplined hockey, they will never win a Stanley Cup again. Hockey has moved on since 1990.

edit: DOWN BY THREE!
