Wont count the Wings out, but they do not look energized at all.

The Crosby injury is lacking updates which can't be good, but the role players have stepped up !

CBC is reporting knee injury, who knows.

Hopefully he's back on the bench at least, this lead can allow him minimum minutes, he's not been overly effective as it is.

Coach said it was mid-section while NBC was interviewing him during the second period.

Hope he has a skate out but CBC are reporting now that it's anything from groin to knee... but it's been mum which could be bad, but at the same time the period was dwindling, no need to rush him back out there.

We'll see, if he doesn't start the third I think Malkin might be lifting the Cup :wenger:

This game is flying by... right at the two hour mark now. Wings are dominating possession but not getting many clear shots on goal. Fleury is playing great tonight.

How the Pens are playing tonight reminds me of Dallas Stars hockey under Ken Hitchcock. Grind out wins with solid defending, checking and blocking shots.

Fleury Conn Smythe?

I felt for sure Detroit was going to score when the puck bounced out in the final second or two and it appeared a Wings player was going in on goal wide open to one-time it by Fleury as he was scrambling over. Think it was blocked by a defender.

Would be quite fitting if Hossa ends up regretting those words he said on why he left Pittsburgh and signed for Detroit.

"I could get more money somewhere else, but I was looking for the best chance to win the Stanley Cup"

Never understood why Bettman is so hated.

Malkin takes the Conn Smythe.

Before i splurge, he's a cnut.

Malkin shouldn't have been the Conn Smythe winner, I think if the definition of the award is awarded, the entire team deserved one... if I pick a player, its Fleury, NO question.

The streets are packed with people, everyone is partying and waving flags, cars going up and down the streets honking horns, fireworks going off, its amazing !!!

Pretty much because he has destroyed the game of hockey. Not single handedly, but he's led the charge. His efforts to try to bring hockey to the masses has not only failed miserably, but have had the opposite effect that he has intended.

I also agree with the notion that Bettman is a total twat of a commish. I mean give me a mother fecking break, the NHL's national network for almost all of the season, is fecking Outdoor Life Network, that is fecking absolutely pathetic. You'd think if he had any sense he would just promote an NHL channel that would show an east coast game every night and a west coast game every night in the US, I mean that is what CBC does a lot. And although hockey is far more popular in Canada it still has a decent following in the US, it is just impossible to ever see anything ever than the local team play unless you get the directtv package.

Congrats to Pittsburgh. They deserved it. Bit surprised that they won the SC this year considering how mediocre they looked earlier in the season. Gonchars return was probably key.

The Kunitz trade & the coaching change have a say as well.

It's really awesome to see this team win, you COULD make a movie out of it
