Wouldn't surprise me. There's no subtlety to anything that we're doing at the moment... no misdirection, no artistry. The amount of times I counted Seattle being absolutely ready to swarm us the moment Lynch stepped on the field. They knew what was going to happen the moment we snapped the ball. Even the screen or draw plays we ran were pretty damn obvious.
There's no way we're going to do anything this season. I went in, before the Mack trade, feeling pretty confident and looking forward to the season, but now I already want us to tank it, and use those multiple 1st rounders to start to build. The problem is I have no faith in our draft picks. Saw something yesterday saying that we had only 3 starters yesterday from the 2015 to 2017 drafts. How can we whiff that bad on so many picks?
Certainly puts paid to Mark Davis's suggestion that he wants to win the SB before we leave for Vegas. That's a bloody joke right now.
I have no faith in Gruden making sensible use of high draft picks tbh. Did you see his comments about Derwin James btw? He winds me up no end.

I told you that Thielen was the bestest but no one believed me.

Please tell me that this stat is only for the first round.

Last night's game for me was a good one for NFC teams , both these teams are good but have major flaws in defence which I am not really sure they can cover up . Of course nfc teams are hardly playing great defence themselves but don't think I saw anything in either team to scare anyone

A FG wouldn't have won the game for Seattle, there wasn't that insurance in that instance..

Patriots defensive issues are well known.

Got to remember that the Chiefs has Houston and Berry (?) missing.

Add to that the nature of the game meant more offence and more points.

I think NFC teams aren’t even thinking yet about the SB because they’re probably more presently concerned about beating teams in their own conference given how strong some are.

Yup saw that. Didn't draft James cos we'd drafted two safety's in two previous drafts... then turned around and cut one of them anyway. Mental.

Is there any possible way in which niners could win tonight
Even from me the most optimistic Niners fan around, i would say slim to none. Rumours are both Brieda and Kittle are going to play though so that is a welcome boost. I am staying up to watch but i will be extremely surprised if we managed the upset.

Our D shook that first quarter off and the running game has been very good. Just need to run this flick as much as we can from here

#26 for the Niners with an absolute miserable last couple of minutes. Got burned play after play including the game-tying touchdown and the last several passes leading to the game winning field goal try.

That's just embarrassing play calling from the niners at the end . So sick of teams being so.stupid week after week . You get 6-7 yards on the first down with 1:49 on the clock and Gb has 0 timeouts while you have 3 then how can you throw it two straight times. Bravery and aggressiveness is overrated in sport , you need to be smart rather than brave. Every fecking thing was in their favour at the time and they made THOSE calls . Just inexplicable imo

Have to say, when you talk about best receivers you tend to default to Jones or Brown. But Hopkins definitely IMO should be in that convo. The catches he makes are incredible and also have to remember that he’s been generally doing it with significantly inferior QBs throwing to him.

He's the best in the league for me at the moment.

Will any DC ever realize, that Rodgers runs basically everytime, when he was holding his knee before a play? The guy is simulating pain all the time and then just runs it the next play. Surely someone must have noticed by now?

The play call especially on the interception was brain dead. But Sherman put us in that position with that stupid fecking penalty

I don’t think this argument is up for debate. It’s clearly AB and I don’t see this changing any time soon.

You'd have to probably break receivers into at least two categories - possession v downfield/deep ball . In possession, Thielen has to be considered the best since he has far and away the most catches. For downfield, I would go with any of Hopkins, Hill, or Jones.

They aren't really the same sort of QB. Marino was a pure gunslinger like Fouts before him and Favre after him. He probably had the best arm and quickest release in NFL history. Rodgers is more mobile and accurate in terms of rating and if we're comparing QBs from different eras, would be stylistically more similar to Elway.

Rodgers is probably the modern-era Staubach, and maybe adding a bit of Young to the mix.
