Eight-game winning streak to steal the division at the end from Washington. Write that down! not a chance in hell
Thought Mullens was gonna pull a Montana there at the end.
Don't do it to yourself
I bet he gets at least $20 million in guarantees.
That's absolute insanity for a running back, even if he is something of a RB/WR hybrid.
Johnson got 30 million guaranteed, Gurley got 45.
Sorry was thinking annual figures. Would depend on how many years the $20m guarantee was over as to whether it made sense.
But to make up for the $14m he's given up this year he'd need to be looking at $18m+ per year.
But I think the calculus for Bell is what if he got hurt this year and couldnt get much beyond the $14 million this year.
Which makes sense for sure, and once he'd made the decision to miss the start he was kind of stuck as if he returned he'd be run into the ground playing a season's worth of snaps (or more) in 7 weeks or so.
He'd better hope he gets PAID though, and as you have said yourself repeatedly RB is a position that's easy to replace. Just look at James Conner.
Yeah I think he will get paid by a stupid team with tons of cap space like Oakland or New York.
I dont think it was about maximising his dollar income. If he played this season and gets a bad injury in week 16.. how much does he make in free agency?I don't blame him for sitting out the season in protest of the tag, but he's never going to get back the $14m he's lost this season.
Nobody is going to pay him what is basically QB money.
If the Steelers win the SB with Bell sitting out, good luck to any RBs hoping to get paid in the future.
Good god, I forget how fickle most NFL fans are. Now the prevailing train of thought is that Brees is, and has always been, better than Rodgers. Madness.
Agree on everything other than Rodgers being unlikeable. Seems pretty level headed in most recent interviews I've seen.More likeable anyway but no not as good . I hate Rodgers but rate him as the best quarterback iv seen .
Brees is an all time great though in my opinion and I'd put him above Brady
Includes throwaways, which makes the stat a bit tainted since it is also reliant on scheme and matchups. If it accounted for throwaways it would be more interesting.
Ok then, my next excuses are that Rodgers has been injured most of the season, and his rookie wideouts lead to miscommunication on routes.Comments say it doesnt?

Rodgers is the best talented QB of all time. No two ways about it.Good god, I forget how fickle most NFL fans are. Now the prevailing train of thought is that Brees is, and has always been, better than Rodgers. Madness.
Nobody likes you. Go away.Matt Hasselbeck > Aaron Rodgers
