NFL Thread 2019

I think you are absolutely right.

It’s 4-0 now, bitch.
Haven't seen the game yet but it certainly looks impressive yeah... Kind schedule up to week 12 as well, you might be 8-2 before you host the Packers but your end to the season is quite brutal.

Emphatic win that. Cleveland doing worse than I expected, I got fooled by the preseason hype.

Mayfield refusing to shake the hands of Sherman and Buckner before the game, feck off. Childish behaviour and then such a performance to back it up. I'm all for heated rivalries but respect your opponent ffs.

Yeah I don’t think we’re winning the division because the Seahawks have got some tough wins but I’m getting confident about the playoffs. Our defence is the real deal and injuries permitting our running game is powerful. The more games Jimmy G can play the better his rhythm gets and we don’t get too one dimensional.

Cleveland, awful.

I said it before the season that Mayfield comes across as arrogant and as if he is already all that. That arrogance is costing him now. He clearly thinks he’s beyond learning and preparation and it’s showing up dearly.

It's been a boring season for the Patriots - pretty hard to get excited for the games.

Giants are without Engram, Barkley and Shepard Thursday  (even with them they are shit)

I would say roll on week 8 but Browns are a walkover too. So it's week 9 at Ravens which could be a rude awakening (or not)

Tom Brady needs to be doing better. The Pats have too weak of competition to be putting up numbers like that.

33-7

What would you want? 50 points every week.

The reason it's boring too is we are expected to win and easily do. However there are obvious warts. O-line has been poor, no TE, WR's poor and Brady hasn't been as sharp as a result.

I guess they'll wake up come AFC Championship time.

I’m just saying all this because my fantasy team is being rather mediocre and Brady is my only way to pad stats and therefore points.
Give me your receivers for free

Barkley and Engram could both play Thursday - especially Barkley seemed desperate to get back onto the field. They were both limited participants in training today.

Even with them on the field, the Giants don't stand a chance. Their defense is truly atrocious, up there with the worst in the league alongside the likes of the Falcons. I think they've allowed 7 TDs to slot receivers already this season, Edelman will feast.

After he was taken off of the field on a backboard Sunday, Denver Broncos cornerback DeVante Bausby said he was “paralyzed” for half an hour and couldn’t move before gaining his mobility.

“I was awake the whole time,” Bausby told reporters Tuesday. “I was never unconscious. I just couldn’t move. But I was still talking and everything. The doctor said I’d be fine and I just kind of trusted him. After 30 minutes, I was able to wiggle my toes and after a couple of hours regain full mobility, so I was straight. I was fine.”

Jesus

For me, Deshaun is right up there with Mahomes and Russ in the convo for best QB. Doesn’t have as good of an o-line as Mahomes or Dak, but actually has a higher QB rating than both.

Agree, he's brilliant and is deserving to be in the conversation with those two.

He had as many TD's as incompletions on Sunday, that's just ridiculous.

He’s vastly improved from last year too. I remember last year he took a lot of sacks which were largely down to him continually holding on to the ball too long. He looks like he’s throwing with anticipation now and can see the confidence.

He still holds on to the ball too long sometimes but he's a special player yeah. If our O-line simply holds up, we always have a chance with him under center (only the second time since the start of last season he wasn't sacked for a whole game).

Don't they normally show the London games live on the BBC? Doesn't seem to be the case this weekend for Panters vs Bucs.

He's right though, he did shake Sherman's hand (just not a second time after the coin toss).

Much ado and whatnot...

No Burkhead or Dorsett & a short rest week could mean an upset is on the cards but still expect us to win, particularly since they don’t have Barkley.

D is playing incredibly well. The offense is too reliant on Jules & White to be productive. Gordon has to contribute & Michel needs to get going in the run game (had a decent game against Washington).
