NFL Thread 2014-2015

"It's kind of weird playing them, because it's almost like you're looking in the mirror. It's a team that has similar attributes all over, similar qualities -- both quarterbacks are both mobile, big receivers -- well we don't have any big receivers, but we have big-hearted receivers -- powerful running backs, great defensive lines and linebacker play. So it's a good game. It's so much alike, man. It's like you look at a girl who looks like you, and you find out it's your cousin, so you can't go on a date with her even though you'd like to, because she looks like you. But then you see her friend, and her friend's really hot, and you're like, 'that's not my cousin,' so it's good."

Seattle DT Michael Bennett discussing tomorrow's game.

Former Miami Dolphins running back Rob Konrad swam nine miles to shore after falling off his boat while fishing.

Konrad, 38, swam the equivalent of 290 lengths of an Olympic-size swimming pool after his 36-foot boat, which was on auto pilot, drifted away from him off the South Florida coast.

The United States Coast Guard reported that friends became concerned when he failed to return for dinner.

After up to 12 hours in the water, he had treatment for hypothermia symptoms.

He played 82 games for the Dolphins between 1999-2004.

Well he's lucky to be alive.

Looking forward to a good weekend of football.

I'm going to pick NE (not confident about this) over Baltimore, Seattle over Carolina, Green Bay over Dallas & Denver over Indianapolis. I was 4 for 4 last week.

Nervous about the Pats game. As long as Brady gets protection and we have a balance with the run game too, I'm confident we'll be able to win. But those bastards do like beating us :nervous:

Think Pats, Seattle, Dallas & Denver will win.

I'm going Ravens, Seahawks, Cowboys and Broncos. As a Colts supporter I'd love an upset by we haven't got enough talent around Luck yet. Give him an O-line and a half decent running game and we might win an Super Bowl or two in the next few years.

Yep, it's a really shit start.

Too easy for Flacco.

feck off Amendola. Fortunate break there.

Come on Brady. Need to respond quickly.

Fortunate there for Patriots. Would have been a huge turnover (you would think 14-0 from that)

Don't see Gray staying next season. Unfortunately he's gone anonymous since the Colts game and turning up late to practice.

Looks a good catch to me. Then again I never understood when the ground helps it and when it doesn't.

Stupid cnut officials.

The secondary is asleep. This is awful D.

Need a TD now on this drive.

Pathetic so far.
