NFL Thread 2013-14

Nice drive. Pretty much game over.

Wish I could have gone today.

Also I hate listening to people who aren't American talk about NFL on tv, just doesn't sound right!

Someone please tackle him.

Cheerleaders

Nice kick. Decent atmosphere in Wembley. Hopefully we get a high scoring game...

Great TD there. The steelers defence sucks ass.

Thank God, we want a bit of a showcase here unlike last year where the Pats steam rolled the Rams which is great as a Pats fan but a close game here would be great.

Dad with me watching, his first NFL game, reminds me of the first time I watched a game, so many questions:lol:

It's all good though I'm more than happy to answer them all.

Was going to say watching the Gronk stomp all over some cnuts was as showcase as it gets, but yeah, biased views and that...

Sounds like fun!

I just explained a fair catch to my dad, he asked me if that meant the catch was ok so its ok to score from. When I explained what it is he just proclaimed the game too complicated and walked out.

My dad is trying to get to grips with the concept of 'downs'

I think he gets what 1&10 is now

He just let out a 'ooohhh' on that play from the Vikings too

 I remember doing the same when I first saw an NFL game. Took me about a year to get to grips and now it's my favourite sport behind 'real' football.

Yeah I never really used to get it, and I still don't always like watching by myself. It wasn't until I moved to Canada and watched games with some friends with the cliche of loads of snacks and beer that I really understood how great it was. You're right though it does take a little while to get to grips with.

Well yeah, beer makes everything great. Probably even helps watching Liverpool.

AP for a long TD, defence really should have taken him down there, you aren't gonna stop him once he gets going.

fecking Colin Murray is making the C4 coverage unbearable. Annoying fecker.

The Heath chants are pretty cool. Fans sound like they're enjoying the game.

I've always thought American sports miss out of chanting. I remember being at an NHL game in Calgary and we chanted "The referee's a wanker" after a bad call. Apparently that kind of thing isn't ok!
