What's up with all the activity of dropping players? Is there a deadline coming up to get our rosters down to a certain number?
Just after the Superbowl or something right?

Yes that was the original plan but we also need to discuss some rule changes. Anyone can suggest rules. I'll start with a few.
1. Get rid of the D/ST position
2. Get rid of the Kicker position
3. Get rid of the taxi squad and expand the normal roster

I am in favour of altering roster sizes and the taxi squad system. I would prefer much larger rosters, 25 min.

Neither am I. The whole point of the dynasty league was to try and emulate a more realistic fantasy league. Getting rid of kickers and defenses would seem to be a step backwards from accomplishing this. Besides being punitive for those who drafted kickers/defenses higher in last year's draft.
@altodevil Just noticed you've got Justin Tucker and Niners D. Getting rid of kickers and defenses would be especially damaging for you. 
I’m for keeping kickers and defense too. I totally agree with ditching taxi squads. I literally never had use for them especially because adding/dropping players was available all season. Expanding the roster would be ideal to fix that.
Also are there any deadlines coming up? I haven’t looked at the dynasty league site in a while.

Seems like a nice kid but what a disappointment.Reasoning is that you can't just stream like redraft fantasy leagues and the value of each "player" varies wildly compared to the other positions, both week to week and year to year.
Taxi squad needs to go. I’m easy on other rules. But things which change roster size, composition of roster etc. should be agreed a year before implementation to allow proper planning.

Who's got the first pick in this year's draft? Should go by worst record, but we've got 4 teams who went 4-9 and some had made trades, I think. Also, was the tie-breaker based on points scored or division record?

Yes we will. Want to give it a couple more days for any rule changes. Then we will change the taxi squad and cut down.
Bit busy this weekend, but going forward I'd quick like to make a written charter for the league. Quick reference for rules etc that will stop the confusion that sometimes arises. Probably would have been good to do it before now, alas. Hopefully in place and agreed upon before start of next season.
