Neither will Purdy. That's why they should think long term, don't pay Purdy and get rid of these two otherworldy skill players for a boatload of picks. If they are smart about it they will be back within two or three years with a starting QB on a rookie contract. To me it feels too much like the Vikings paying Cousins, Purdy is good but not to the point where you can pay him and roll with a lesser roster.

Oh I definitely agree with that, but looking at what they're doing I think they've already decided that they are going to pay Purdy.

Unless you have a unicorn at QB - Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Lamar and maybe Hurts - going rookie QB is the way to go at the moment. Some borderline cases like Stroud, Herbert et al maybe, but that's about it. Commanders and Vikings are in prime positions as the momemt, maybe Chicago as well.

If the Penn State & Meechigan TE’s are gone early, I don’t see him lasting past Denver.

The RB class is deep this draft according to analysts on ESPN and NFL Live. There will be some studs found in the middle rounds.
