NFL 2024

The phrase "having a good rookie season" must have changed since I last used it and is instead being used as a euphemism for playing like crap. That must be it.

I have seen people mention some stats that were objectively good, for example the total yards put him at 6th in franchise history(it's the Bears but still). He only has 6 interceptions which is very good especially for a rookie QB that isn't helped by his coached.

The interceptions stat is pretty damning when you are on a ten game losing streak. A lot of Bears fans are pretty pissed that he'd seemingly rather take sacks than throwing 50/50 balls up to his WRs who are being covered when they need points.

Yeah, he has real issues with pocket awareness and going through his progressions. By now we know that he isn't perfect but we also know that he has rare qualities, the good thing is that his flaws are generally fixable by good coaches. In hindsight he reminds me Darnold, you could see the qualities as a prospect but you could also see the flaws and it took a long time for him to be coached properly, he really took a great decision to be a backup for the 49ers.

The flip side to this are his INT numbers would go up significantly and everyone would be talking "Caleb has 18 interceptions!" without any context.

Heard ESPN rumors doing the round this morning about Pete Carroll possibly be considered for the job. That's the last thing this organization needs to do is hire a set-in-his-ways dinosaur who will be 74 next season. Throw whatever it takes at someone like Ben Johnson, give him the keys to the fecking kingdom if necessary. Get someone in there with some fresh ideas, a risk taking alpha dawg if you will. Someone other than fecking AARP Carroll to the rescue.

Read a stat this week that caleb getting 3000 passing yards is the 13th time in Bears history that a QB reached that number. Eli manning and Matt Ryan did it 14 times each

Even a Jim Harbaugh type - build up the trenches and bully everyone - would be better than Pete who would be drafting the first safety that caught his eyes.

Give Caleb an OL and he might flourish.

Cousins did it 9 times and it would have been 10 straight seasons if it wasn't for his achiles injury.

"makes all the right decision"

Proceeds to run head first into 2 defenders after already stepping out of bounds.

He better not be fecked, the only thing worth watching for us.

QB's need to start running a bit less honestly. Most of these guys aren't built to take hits and you are far too important to your teams to keep getting injuries & concussions

Kicking a FG on 4th & 2 seems such a pussy move. Add to that you waste a timeout on 3rd & 2 to throw a fade and it's just awful

Burrow has played at such an elite level this season. Pity that his defence has let him down or he would be in mvp conversation

It's all setting up for a huge showdown for the Broncos versus Carson Wentz and a bunch of our JAGs in Denver. Should be good viewing if it transpires.

That's one of those bullshit things in the NFL which is obviously a fumble but the rules determine that it isn't.

Completed pass: 2 feet down.

But for it to be a fumble you want 3 steps... Even though the 2 steps means it's a completed pass.
