NFL 2023

Seems like the easy cop out to fire Dorsey at this point, as if he wasn’t the guy at the helm when the Bills were firing on all cilinders and they had Allen as an MVP candidate.

I think that it was a good move and it should have happened earlier, he was largely saved by the Allen-Diggs connection.

That's disappointing: now it's not as kharmically (is that a real word?) funny that Baker will continue to outperform him.

I quite like rooting for them when Watson's not playing, so that's cool. Their defence is wild. What a horrendous deal it's turned out to be for the Browns though.

The worst part about it is that when they structured the contract they probably thought that they were the new NFL geniuses. But Watson has been useless during the cheap years, next year they will start to pay for this trade and contract.

And the way they punished him was specifically designed so they wasted a year of the contract because he played just enough games to count against it.

Is it though?!
Somewhat, yeah. With most celebrities accused of similar misconduct, you usually have some weirdos defending them. I have never seen anyone defend Watson, though.

A truly bizarre take

I don't really know what is bizarre about being surprised by the general reaction. Generally an awful lot of people will find all sorts of excuses or "focus" on the game but here we have an athlete that tarnished his image to the point that his unanimously disliked. That's uncommon.

Didn't help that he got away with it, never showed any remorse or accountability, and then got rewarded with the biggest contract in NFL history.

And there are still plenty of peoplewho are on his side and defend him. More than enough stuff online of people proudly showing off Watson jerseys and going on about a witch hunt (idiots).

Niners favored by 11.5 against us this Sunday.

Seems about right.

Some extra spice too now there are both Bosa and Young getting after Mayfield. Bosa never forgot the flag planting episode and I wonder if Young is the same. Could be a long night for Mayfield.

He is one of the best QBs this year when under pressure (over 100 rating iirc), but I don’t believe we’ve played a team yet that boasted two legit ends.

From a purely playing point of view I've never been a hater of Mayfield and thought he was badly treated by the Browns all things considered. Since the Watson deal I've been quietly pleased to see him doing well.

Hope he gets double figures sacked this weekend though

You want him to "do a Danny Jones"?
