NFL 2023

I take the blame for the 49ers loss after all my talk of unbeaten regular seasons.

Couldn’t have put that last drive together earlier I guess. Awful offence in the second half and awful officiating all game.

He should have fired in the off season. Let’s get one of those Niners assistant coaches.

Brock Purdy fails to win having got the ball with 2 minutes left only needing a field goal. Overrated!
only joking. He's a top 5 qb.

Was not expecting to see the niners lose that!

Oh and look the Raiders scored a field goal, that’s the Patriots defeated. Tie if we are lucky.

Let’s hope it catches the eagles too
If they're still unbeaten after this set of fixtures then I'll saw off my dick.

The reaction to the Niners win at home against a pretty ordinary Dallas side meant losing to the Browns felt inevitable.

You can be sarcastic about it sir, but he went 12-27 for 125 yards, 1 TD and one pick against a legit defense without his best weapons (who could have predicted that they'd run into injury problems.....?). So maybe we need to pump the brakes on the whole 'he's the greatest QB ever to draw breath' thing. He's a young player doing well, but leading a team to a Super Bowl win is a very difficult thing for an infant QB to do.

In fairness to him though, he put his team in a position to win that game at the end, despite his overall struggles.

Really annoying performance by the Eagles. Two fumbles by offence and keeping the jets in the game

Learn new rules every day, jets catch eagles defence offside and on the free play Wilson gets a nice completion but a receiver throws a blindside block. Result of play is a 15 yard penalty because of the block and rest doesn’t matter.

What's the reasoning for it? Does any penalty from the opposition on a free play result in penalty or is it something to do with a difference in the severity of the two penalties and therefore they don't offset?

Yeah apparently the personal foul supersedes the offside so if Wilson had actually not thrown the ball they would have been in a better place than throwing a 20 yard completion on the free play

Eagles properly fecked with injuries with a brutal schedule coming up. Will probably be like 500 by the time the stretch ends

I wonder what Aaron Rodgers is telling Zach Wilson on the mic. Something like: "I'm better than you bro"

From wiki: "In the NFL, a major (15-yard) penalty by one team may not offset a minor (5-yard) penalty by the other team"

Makes sense.

Depleted Eagles defense doing well to keep them out of the end zone.

Hurts is having probably his best game this season but his receivers have dropped way too many routine catches.
