The name of the game at CB is interceptions, and on Diggs, the numbers don't lie. He's the only player with double digit picks and has the most interceptions in a season since Lester Hayes in 1980. That is unprecedented dominance that no other player has matched in decades.

Dominance is not solely measured on number of interceptions. For dominance at the CB position, turn to the likes of Revis and Sanders literally shutting down half the field as OC/QBs avoided throwing to that receiver/zone. Had Revis and Sanders been thrown at as much as Diggs they'd have snagged many more picks and scored more defensive touchdowns. Also, Everson Walls had 11 picks as a rookie in 1981.

Diggs has deficiencies in his game as others statistics demonstrate but he has a great instincts on making a play on the ball. He's nowhere near dominant at his position.

It’s the Titans secondary but still, Davis Mills has looked kinda decent in flashes this season.

“This run is so good you wonder if he’s wearing an 8 jersey under the number 2 jersey” shut the absolute feck up

I’m in the “don’t rely on others and just get your own shit done camp”. If it should happen, which I think it won’t, the Colts have no one but themselves to blame imo.

Let’s see if Big Ben has a GW drive left in him.

Just saw on Twitter “if both teams are out of the playoffs in Week 18 you shouldn’t be allowed to punt anymore”, kinda like it.

It really comes down to what you think the overarching purpose of any player on defense is. If its simply tackling or covering players then Diggs would not be relevant. If however it is about creating turnovers, thwarting opposing offenses from controlling the game, controlling time of possession, and giving your own offense a chance to win games, then nothing is as important as creating interception. Its more important than simple tackles, its more important than great coverage that results in incompletions, its more important than sacks, and its arguably more important than forcing fumbles since picks are more likely to get returned (as Peterson just did moments ago). If you have a player who can get double digit picks then that is worth its weight in football gold. Diggs still has a lot of room to develop before he hits his ceiling, but he has already proven that no one is remotely close to him in the most important thing a cornerback can do on the field of play.

So, if the Ravens/Steelers were to end in a tie, how would that affect the playoff race with the Colts losing?
Neither can make it without winning. So would become a straight up between Colts Chargers. If Chargers win they are in. If not then Colts in. Raiders take the other spot.

Colts at 9-8 would have a better record than both of them but the Chargers and Raiders could get in at 9-7-1 with a tie tonight.

Tucker will win this for Baltimore. Plenty of time left.
