Oh, now the Broncos are eliminated. For some reason I thought he meant we couldn’t be ruled out today.

Paton, you know what you need to do…

Well that must the millionth time I've watched Mike McCarthy blow his timeouts way to early and then can't use one to challenge which ends up costing the game.

Never change Mike

Crazy that the Saints are still in playoff contention with the amount of injuries they’ve had this season. Missing their QB1, WR1, TE1 and all 5 of their starting O-linemen bar one tonight. Just need a win against the Falcons next week coupled with a Niners defeat by the Rams and they’re in I think. Will be tense.

So if the Niners and Eagles lose their final game against the Rams and Cowboys, and we beat the Falcons we end up in a 9-8 three way tie (could be a 4 way tie if the Vikings win out but they're playing the Packers tonight).

If it's a 3 way tie between the Niners, Eagles and Saints, the Niners are out, while Niners beat out the Eagles in their H2H and the Eagles beat out the Saints in our H2H.

It's been a wild season for sure.

They deserve it just for the Bucs shutout!

Eagles have good chance against the faker Cowboys!

Would really love to see a non-QB win the MVP award this. Both Cooper Kupp and Jonathan Taylor would be worthy winners. Would hate to see Rodgers winning it after all his Covid nonsense.

So Raiders-Chargers on SNF next week is a win and in scenario for both teams? That's a great scenario for a divisional matchup to close out the season.

Colts are in as well if they win - as they should be.

Hoping for the Colts, Chargers and Saints to make it. I think that would likely result in:

Chargers @ Chiefs
Colts @ Bengals
Pats @ Bills

Saints @ Rams
Eagles @ Buccaneers
Cards @ Cowboys

Wonder what we'll do next year about the coaching situating. Moore is obviously sought after, so do we give him the HC job to keep him or let him go and roll with Mccarthy and another OC?

I really don’t want the Packers to win (sorry Packers fans). I’ve slowly grown to dislike them, stemming especially from Rodgers I think. I would pretty much prefer any other team to win it now at this stage. But knowing how my year of sports has gone, every starting QB Rodgers faces will continue to get down with Covid. Amazing how many teams they’ve faced this year who were without their starting QB, although not 100% sure how that compares to other teams.

The Dolphins tricked a lot of people into thinking they really turned it around but the QBs they faced during their 7-game win streak were Tyrod Taylor, Lamar Jackson, Joe Flacco, Cam Newton, Mike Glennon, Zach Wilson and Ian Book... Don't know about other teams but there are arguments that every contender bar anyone in the West divisions have had it easy at some / multiple points during the season.

I'm with you though, I really don't like Rodgers nor the Packers but begrudgingly I also have to admit that he once again has them top of the league (despite an average HC imo, afwul ST play and a depleted D at times). 33-4 TD:INT ratio (2 of which came in the very first game of the season), and he has multiple passing TDs in all but two of his games this season, all while being hampered by a toe injury in the second half of the season. On a personal level there's little doubt he's a dick but he's also an absolutely incredible QB.

Oh without doubt he is a class QB. It would just be nonsense to deny that. And also nonsense to deny he has had yet another stellar year. I still maintain Packers would have net faired better than the Colts if both were without Rodgers / Taylor respectively but that’s obviously subjective. I also think you’re being harsh to their D and coach in particular. Hard to really fault a coach who has come in and won at a rate he has, with minimal past experience. All coaches make subjective or dodgy calls. He is nowhere near middle of the pack in the league on that front in my view. And their D has been very good really, despite some weakness against the run. And you can’t always put it on Rodgers for coming out despite of it. Thinking about the Browns here, who shot themselves rather than Rodgers winning that out. On the other hand though, GB has withstood some o-line injuries particular Baktiari so that’s impressive.

I don’t know if it’s because I really believe it or if it’s because I want it to be true, but I feel the Cardinals or Cowboys on their day have enough to win at Lambeau. I’d say the Bucs but that would not be for any other reason other than Brady is therefore so just have to assume they can always have a decent chance of winning. If they reach the SB though, they match up very well vs the Chiefs and I’m not sure I would trust Wentz even though Taylor is a great matchup against them. If Titans get everyone healthy, they could be a real dark horse. And the Bills are such an enigma.

Is Rodgers still favoured to win it?

I would think so. It hasn't been a non-QB since Adrian Peterson in 2012, and he pulled ahead of Brady when the Saints shut out the Bucs last week. Brady may have gained a little on him yesterday, but Rodgers' numbers are incredible.

His numbers are very good but I dont think they’re incredible compared to last season. GB have the league’s best record. That’s in his favour. Also he has the least picks and the best passer rating. But I can’t see anything else outstanding. There’s a bunch of guys with more yards and a few with more TDs. He also has the highest QBR by a smidge from Brady, but I don’t know what people think about that stat.

NFL.com has Rodgers' QBR at 111.1 and Brady's at 100.5. That's not an insignificant difference (both are good obviously). Brady of course has more yards, but he also has 150 more attempts, which is of course partly driven by having played two more games. What really sets Rodgers apart is his TD/INT ratio. Just 4 interceptions is incredible. Anyone with yards and TDs in the same area as him have 10 interceptions or more.

As much as I dislike him, Rodgers is clearly the best QB in the league. The only thing that can really get in his way is the covid stuff, or if the voters give Brady a bit of extra credit due his age. I do hope he is snubbed, though. It would be refreshing to give it to Cooper Kubb, for example - 1,800 yards receiving and 15 TDs is amazing.

Has to be Cooper kupp for mvp no? Hes been ridiculous and virtually ever major wr record is in touching distance isn't it?

A lot of talk of fans no-showing next week. It probably won’t happen but it’s indicative of how sick everyone is of this shit. I know a few ST holders who say they’re not going.

It might not happen before the final game, but I’ve no doubt at this point that Fangio, Shurmur and McMahon won’t be on the coaching staff for much beyond a week.

He’s been amazing, but it’s hard to compare season stats when this is the first 17 game season.

But even stopping the season now he's 140 yds short of megatons yardage record, with 15 tds to boot, 11 catches short of most receptions in a season.

Hes been phenomenal even if you don't take into account what he does in the 17th game.

I’m not disputing how good he’s been, I was just responding to your point about all the records being in touching distance.

He's either suffering from CTE or he's just a very, very weird guy who behaves in the most bizarre ways I've ever seen. This one is lighthearted in a way, but it's still an incredibly absurd way to behave with your doctor that no normal person would do.

I would love the Bengals to win but think it will be a repeat of last Year's Superbowl and hopefully the right team will win this year ie Kansas

And Megatron didn’t become mvp either, despite being the superior player.
