I wouldn’t be surprised to hear we are without Evans & Fournette til the playoffs as well. AB will come in very handy these next three games. Thankfully they look rather manageable.

AB should come back with something to prove imo, which will make him more effective than usual. Combine that with Perriman coming back from COVID, along with Gronk, Howard, and Jones pitching in, and they should be fine until the playoffs. The key will be to see if Fournette and Godwin came come back later in the playoffs.

Question - if a pass hits a player who is out of bounds & is caught by an opponent who is in bounds, is it a completion / interception?

Feck. Knew immediately that tacke had done some serious damage.
I actually thought he hurt his neck / back at first blush.

ACL tears are weird, they hurt immediately, then often stop hurting soon after, so much so that the recipient of the injury doesn't realize damage has been done.

It's just the way his leg bended/extended. You could tell he was in trouble right away. Really gutted for him. He was having himself quite a season.

Yeah, he did himself very well this season. No way we will be able to keep both Evans & him next year.

What an awful MNF game. Matt Nagy absolutely needs to feck off out of Chicago, they let Fields actually throw it for two possessions the entire game and he immediately had them in the redzone.

Zimmer needs to go too.

At least Justin Fields looks good

I’m trying to temper my frustration at this by telling myself Surtain is a generational talent and our coaching staff would have hampered Fields anyway, but with an already strong secondary and a massive need at QB it still rankles; he looks very promising.

Loved watching the Niners beat the Falcons on Sunday – but still annoyed at the nonsense roughing the passer penalty they called on Arden Key:

Have no idea what he is supposed to do in that situation – I suppose stop moving and decide not to tackle him would be the only option???

Instead of it being 4th and 15, they had an automatic first down (along with the 15 yards) and then they scored a TD within a couple of plays.

The commentators said he was driving him into the ground, butI don't think this was an example of that at all. They really need to stop protecting the QBs to the extent they are now. Becoming ridiculous.

You’re not allowed to land on top of the QB as I understand it. Yes he jumped off him almost as quickly but the tackle brought his full body weight down on top of Ryan which they’ll flag every time these days.

Yeah that's a textbook RTP call. Tough on defenders, especially going against what you've been doing your entire football career, but my feeling was that most of them have already adjusted pretty well and have found ways to bring the QB down whilst landing next to them or avoiding coming down on top of them.

I wonder if there’s a stat for RTP against because some people like Cousins & Ryan seem to get them a lot more

Isn't he a free agent after this season? Sucks for him. Hopefully he still gets a great deal
Yep, he’s in his franchise year & has been anticipated to move on next year (or stays & Evans moves which is less likely).

At the same time QBs like Cam and Lamar do not get is as often as they should.

Yeah they definitely missed that one - so did I at first sight so it was funny to see though

Also think the near Bears TD should've been overturned, thought the shin definitely hit the ground before the elbow did but maybe it was too close to overturn.

I know but just laugh with me, okay?

Tbh I was too stunned to laugh in real time...I was wtf he just threw to the safety????

Kurt Cousins!!!! I watched a seven year old South Park episode about the Washington Redskins and the boys starting a startup company. Kirk was the QB at the time in Washington and he was called Kurt by his team president, Bruce Allen, who was being a petty arsehole. Couldn't help but laugh my ass off during the episode and now seeing this INT...not entirely his fault, but still.

Pretty bad game and unfortunately the Rams will probably lose this one, should play better on offense though but Stafford not looking great again.
