Omicron is at 3% of reported cases, they’re thinking it will be January when it will really slam us.
Im guessing they can’t (and don’t) sequence all cases. Nor is every PCR capable of detecting the slight difference. So I guess that’s 3% with a margin of error? What’s testing like in the US, any reason to believe there is a vast amount of undetected cases in community?

Edit: I know this is the wrong thread but its very strange that the NFL and PL are suddenly both seeing covid spikes at exactly the same time which coincides pretty much exactly with the timing of Omicron.

Well there’s always the possibility of lag in evaluating such things, but it’s not like the US had a long track record of doing great before omicron. People are getting lazy and casual with precautions after the vaccine rollout and large population centers are spending more time indoors.

NY/NJ is reporting 13%.

Still fecking fuming after that shite game against Everton tonight. Cmon Chiefs, please make this day better!

What happened to Donald Parham Jr? I saw the replays and it didn't look like he landed awkwardly on his head. Strange that. Hope he's okay.

Fingers crossed our offence continues like that for the rest of the game. Incredible 95 yard drive.

We're shitting the bed, great. I don't think that was a fumble though, but I'm obviously biased.

Our defense is keeping us in this with the clutch 4th down and goal stops.

What a terrible play by Mahomes on 4th. Awful.

They're gonna score on this drive. We're going to need some Mahomes magic when we get the ball back.

Holy feck our defense has been so good in the end zone.

Hahaha fecking dogshit. What is it with our offence and only playing well for the 1st quarter. Happened way too often this year.

They gotta go for the 2 pointer here surely.

...maybe not. Think they should have gone for 2 to make it a 2 possession game.

fecking yes. Tied game. This is why the Chargers should have gone for the 2.

We really don't deserve to be in this position

It seems all set up for Mahomes to throw an interception on this possession.

That's me thankfully wrong. They've still got plenty of time to put up the extra points.

I thought that was going to be PI. Thank feck

Regardless of the result, this game has been excellent.

Fantastic result that should be enough to secure top spot in the division. One worrying thing was how abject we were with the run game considering the Chargers are the statistically the worst run defense in the league. I know it's not something we're particularly great at but I at least expected us to do some damage with the run game.

It's got to be said that Herbert really is a superb QB. Some of his throws tonight were out of this world.

What an incredible game though. I was so pumped and I am not a fan of either team
Indeed, it was fecking brilliant. Huge plays galore in the redzone. The Chargers must be so pissed for wasting all of those yard & goal attempts. I think they should have just settled for 3 on their last 4th down and goal given what had happened earlier in the game. Also the decision not to go for 2 when they were 7 points up was fatal and I am still shocked they didn't go for that.

Fecking Chiefs. That settles the AFC West I would say. Now we need the Patriots to save us and get 1st spot.

Great game, would've much rather had the Chargers won that though since it would've made the division very interesting, now it's done and dusted.

You're not gonna win many games against the Chiefs if you come away with 0 points on 3 or 4 redzone trips.
