The only thing it may impact is seeding but at the end of the day all of these teams will have to play each other again in the playoffs anyways to get to the super bowl. Winning now and losing in the playoffs is worse than the alternative.
Agree with that of course, but going into a freezing Lambeau end of Januray is a lot different than playing in Florida for Brady. Said on the Manning cast last Monday he was already checking the weather in Washington in two weeks

I get where Tomlin is coming from but I also watched Palmer's comment to Dan Patrick and it was totally more like "maybe we can convince Tomlin to come to USC rather than oversee a rebuild with the Steelers as we badly want him" instead of "he's on the hot seat and we just need someone to come in".
What rebuild? They're getting Rodgers next year aren't they?

Wanting his legal issues resolved sounds like a much bigger sticking point.
Think Goodell has already said they won't suspend him this season unless he's charged with a criminal offense (which he still isn't right now). But beyond this season it's impossible to know how this will play out. And definitely won't be cleared up before the Nov 2 trade deadline.

If his legal issues reflect his price tag, I'd say it might be worth the gamble for the Dolphins. If they have to pay multiple first and second rounders for him (which I assume they have to), they're mortgaging their future on a gamble they don't have control over.

I get that you're interested in Watson but it's not even like Tua has been bad, he just hasn't had any help from his OL or receivers (and coaching staff).

I hadn’t heard that re them not suspending him, gotta love the consistency when compared to the Zeke suspension.

As you say it’s an enormous amount of capital being given up with so much uncertainty and is he alone going to turn things around for the Dolphins? Especially when you’re limiting your opportunity to improve elsewhere on the roster because you’ve given up so much draft capital and cap space.

The NFL covering up another scandal. Clearly keeping this from the public and inevitable backlash. Would be quite messy to attempt to force Snyder to sell.

NFL's investigation into Washington Football Team won't be released, commissioner Roger Goodell says amid pressure

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doubled down Tuesday on the league's decision not to make public the results of its investigation into the workplace culture at the Washington Football Team, saying the anonymity of the people who cooperated with the investigation was too high a priority to allow the league to do so.

Still odd that Gruden’s stuff came out but nothing else relating to this investigation has been revealed.

And it’s not like the Dolphins are a win now team either. There are a lot of issues in a number of places, albeit they are closer than the 1-6 record suggests. I think Tua has played well recently too. Well enough at least that you don’t take such a huge gamble like this.

Tampa already played and won in the freezing cold in Lambeau last year …

Have to remember Brady is used to playing in freezing cold open stadiums in January! But for other teams, such as the Cardinals, it would give GB a huge advantage.

The only thing that may make this trade make some sense is if they already have something lined up which sees Tua go elsewhere in return for premium picks too to offset slightly.

It’s crazy how 18 months in Florida has changed him

I'd do it if I was Detroit (major win if they could get rid of Goff's contract in the process but probably not) or someone like Washington.

Seems like NFL/someone decided Gruden was worth going after & they’ll protect the ones they want to (mainly owners).

I can’t see any team in need of a QB thinking Tua would be their solution to where they would be willing to sacrifice a top pick for him. Especially with a slew of good QBs coming up in 2022. Matt Corrall, Kenny Pickett, Sam Howell, and Lamar clone Malik Willis will all be available next year.

I was reading somewhere that this was a particularly weak class of QBs this year? Some mocks even had no QB picks in the top 10 (although we know that’s not happening in reality)

None of those guys have proven they’re worth waiting on. One or two will inevitably turn into a hot property (out of Strong…Corral…Pickett?) but it’s not a QB class to bet on by any stretch.

Spencer Rattler was the #1 QB before the season started wasn't he? What a downfall.

The lights never switched on for him to take the next step in his development. It’s a shame, as he has as good of an arm as you’ll ever see. Being second best to Caleb Williams will probably be looked back on as not being all that bad though.

Funny thing is, instead of being the top QB taken he could end up just being one of these guys replacements as Ole Miss is a rumored destination.

Good move for Kamara especially, who was currently on pace for 323 carries and 71 catches, which is simply not sustainable imo.

They were a great one-two punch a few years ago. I was gutted when he left. Great to have him back.

Cards will win by quite a bit I guess.

Yeah can't see past a Cards win here unless Rodgers goes bonkers. They are +6.5 dogs as well tonight.

I fancy Cardinals with Adams out. Lazard doesn’t help either but no big deal at the same time.

I think Jaire Alexander is also still out. Not sure about Bakhitiari and Zadarius Smith though.

Could get ugly if the Cards score a few early. Rodgers head tends to drop when the going gets tough.

Annual reminder that US clocks change a week after the UK so early games and RedZone will start at 5pm this Sunday.

Europe goes this weekend, US goes week after. But you got the 5pm correct though.

Why didn't the returner not try and get the ball back??

That was the best catch I've seen this season. Shame it wasn't in bounds.
