My training was at Sheppard in the mid-90s, it was hot and humid but I had T-shift so our classes were in the late afternoon to after dark (midnight chow!) so marching wasn't too bad most days. I've been to Keesler a couple times for further training but was permanent party both times so I lodged in billeting. Felt bad for those newbies marching to class every morning, drenched in sweat, sometimes in rain, by the time they got to class. Some brought change of clothing. The worst was making them march in blues. That uniform will stick to you with the slightest bit of moisture.
