Glazers are quite clearly great owners. There's something else wrong with Manchester United
Not to make this a full thread about the Glazers but as owners it's also nicer to be in a league where you can only spend a certain amount & you have to get the best roster within that as opposed to football where you can spend zillions and still be needing to spend more

Just watched it. Well, up until HT. Didn’t think there was much point continuing. what a disappointing game. WTF were KC doing? Totally handed the game to Tampa.
Brady, Gronk, Arians all returning next season with a few key pieces of that defense a year older and more mature. They're gonna be close again next season.
The best moment all game was probably Winfield's taunting penalty on Hill. 100% deserved that and I would've given up 50 penalty yards at that stage to be able to do that to the cnut.
Mad respect for Mahomes though, he actually quite won me over last night. I just love a good underdog so I'm sure it'll change very soon again but the way he kept playing with his O-line getting battered, nothing but respect for that. Heart of a warrior.

I think that it's both, the Bucs are good at creating pressure, 2nd during the regular season and they are the kind of team that will exploit pass protection deficiencies. Now the issue for the Chiefs is that their Oline worsened during the season and it continued during the playoffs with their best OLinemen getting injured. At the end yesterday the Chiefs were without their three best Olinemen, Fisher, Schwartz and Duvernay-Tardif. This game is one of the things I like the most about american sports and also Rugby, matchups are key, you can be very good and still face a team that is genuinely your cryptonite because they are good at something that you can't handle.
You lasted 1 1/2 hours more than me but I was happy I made it into the 2nd quarter. Shame I couldn't see it live as sounds like the Bucs df bossed the Chiefs and was a great match.

It really wasn't. Mahomes had to run for his life on literally every snap and the Chiefs D couldn't get a stop so you pretty much knew it was over early in the 3th quarter, apart from some belief in "Chiefs magic".
Most disappointing Super Bowl since te Broncos beatdown of the Panthers imo.
Pats-Rams was worse than last night’s game. That was an utterly boring game.
I still rank it higher because even though it was boring, it was still a close game throughout.

I would agree but as Pats fan I was such a nervous wreck knowing 1 or 2 plays would decide the result.. had me on the edge of my seat for nearly all of it.
Worst Superbowl of all time. Last night's game was far better in every way.
Bucs were superb and executed their game plan or perfectly while Chiefs were just outclassed and paid the price for their arrogance.
Last night's game sucked. The game was over after the Fournette TD. There was never any suspense whatsoever, it's not because one team played great that it was a good game.
And the Chiefs didn't pay for their arrogance ffs they paid because they lost most of their starting O-line.
As a neutral, it was a poor game. As a competitive match, it was over far too soon.

That's just excuses they had no answer to the Buc's game plan and lost their discipline early on when they realised that.
They went into the game thinking they had it in the bag and lost their heads when it became obvious Bucs were the better .
Mahomes tried but it wasn't there for him and as Romo says he will have to win at least 8 rings now if he wants to be mentioned alongside Brady
Load of crap. They were without most of their starting O-line: not an excuse but a simple fact. They also didn't lose their discipline at all? They were simply overrun by the Bucs D-line. They committed a few (questionable) penalties but that didn't lose them the game, their inability to give Mahomes a few seconds did.
And did you call with Reid or Mahomes or were you inside their dressing room? Because there is no evidence at all that they thought "they had it in the bag", and I very much doubt that was the case with Brady being on the other side. No professional athlete or team approached a Super Bowl like that.

Cristiano hasn't been my cup of tea since he left. But the gulf in ability between those two is massive in their respective sports. Ronaldo can do things other players can't.
Brady played well last night. However his last two Superbowl wins his defense has conceded single digit points. You'd struggle to find any quarterback in the top 20 or so that could lose in those conditions.
This just isn't true. If you go by DVOA, defensive performance year-on-year is extremely volatile whereas offensive performance is much more consistent. We've seen some very good defenses in the last few years like the '17 Jags or the '18 Bears but either defense has not performed at the same level ever since. Compare that to Mahomes in KC or Brady in NE/TB or Manning in IND/DEN; these teams with consistently great offenses by-and-large made the post-season every year, mainly because it's much easier to sustain offensive performance than defensive performance.
Also, Tampa Bay have a good defense but it's not as if they had a historically good defense like the '85 Bears or the '00 Ravens or the '02 Bucs or the '13 Seahawks or the '15 Broncos. I mean I'd argue the Steelers had a better defense this season; the reason why the Bucs are Super Bowl champions and not the Steelers is that the Bucs had a much better offense.
And even if you look back over recent years, look at the Super Bowl-winning QBs:

In the vast majority of the cases, all those teams had great QBs and had great offenses. The only real exceptions are Peyton Manning (Played with a historically great defense), Eli Manning (Got sh*t hot), Nick Foles (Got sh*t hot), and Joe Flacco (Got sh*t hot). Most of these teams also had good defenses to be fair but without their QB performing, they wouldn't have won the Super Bowl. Therefore, the argument that defenses win games and offenses decide by how much just doesn't stand up in my opinion.
Bucs D holds the Chiefs to 9 points and still people are pushing the narrative that Brady won the game. Predictably.

I know I’m not a seasoned poster in this thread, but once again 7 Rings for Brady. Absolutely mental. Defence certainly deserve most of credit. Gronk was class too. Love that manchild.
Could someone educate me as to why the talk of Brady/GOAT is frowned upon here? Genuinely curious. If it’s the point that he gets over-attention and is labelled the reason for winning so much, then I understand. But surely even taking away all that - the man is still the GOAT.

He literally played his heart out until the end and probably had some of the most amazing incompletions in SB history.
And Tampa also barely blitzed at all - only sent more than 4 rushers five times last night after a regular-season blitz rate of 39%. It just wasn't even necessary against the Chiefs' backup OTs.
Given how the last 2 weeks has been about Mahomes ripping the torch out of Brady's hands, you cant be surprised.
Its going to be fun watching all the US talking heads, who predicted a Chiefs cakewalk day after day and show after show, make it all about the injured players who were already out when they made their predictions.
That narrative was equally dumb, and the Chiefs injuries were very real and impactful.
The o-line was as strong as hot butter and Mahomes was sprinting for his life every snap. Taking nothing from the Bucs D who were fantastic.

Brady played a very good game. Efficient offence and demonstrated by how effectively they moved the ball on pretty much every drive. That can’t be ignored and anyone who says otherwise is just being sour.

It's not. There's only a few of us that see the truth.
Go and watch every throw he made this game. There's maybe one or two that are actually impressive, throws that maybe only 10 others could make in the situation. The rest are predominantly three yard screens or wide open receivers in soft zone coverage.
This is the same every game he plays. He's as capable as any other above average quarterback. But that's about it. He's had incredibly efficient defenses his entire career, as well as special teams.
The reason he is considered the best is because he's had the best situation. Moving to Tampa Bay the first time things seemed not so peachy furthered this view. The Buccaneers are loaded, you saw that in the Superbowl.
I must say though, that I do think Mahomes and the whole Chiefs O coordination for that matter did lose their heads. Yes the Bucs D was great and Mahomes was running for his life, but the truth is I got the impression that the Chiefs were blindsided by how deep the Tampa safeties were playing and just didn’t have a response. The way the Bucs D shaped up, they could and should have been able to connect on short quick routes. Not taking anything away from how well the Bucs D played at all, but I think it’d be amiss to ignore that the Chiefs didn’t adjust well at all. I know the o-line was awful and that’s a factor too, but it just felt like they kept setting Mahomes up for failure with their play calling when it was clear that he just wasn’t going to connect with anyone deep.

No travel restrictions on traveling from the US to the UK except for self-isolation at the moment and as owners they of course can watch any game they'd like in the stadium.
