In 35 plus years of watching football, I can honestly say I've never seen a play like the 2 point conversion the Bears just pulled off.

I'm anything but a Brady fan. I just don't get the fascination with calling a player with one Super Bowl win to his name, who is in the middle of his career the goat. Brady on the other hand is at the end of his career with 5 rings, so its not exactly a stretch to call him the goat.
Thing is, he might well be the greatest 'arm talent' since Elway/Marino and he already has one title to his name. As @MrMarcello points out, this is why people don't appreciate how great Elway was: the teams he was going against were vastly superior.

It's like leaving Messi on the Spurs or Arsenal squad and complaining about him not winning the Champions League. Doesn't make him any less talented.

Yeah I agree Elway is criminally underrated in the pantheon of all time greats. I feel that the three Super Bowl loses to the Skins and 9ers - the blowout nature of them - definitely hurt his cred to the point that even when he won the two in the late 90s, you just knew it wouldn't be enough in the goat discussion at that point. Still 5 SB appearances was the best ever til Brady recently broke it.

Not exactly the same, a QB has much more impact on a game that any single player in normal football.

Big Ben is done. He's mentally finished.

The retirement talk in the off season and his "maybe I don't have it anymore" comments the other night, this is his last season.

Well..Big Ben is a drama queen. He does the same routine every year. Also, I meant the giants being just fine.

Racist gonna racist. This isn't the first time Ditka has said outlandish things.

Mike Ditka: 'No oppression in last 100 years'

“All of a sudden, it’s become a big deal now, about oppression,” Ditka told Jim Gray on Westwood One’s pregame show ahead of the Bears’ “Monday Night Football” loss to the Vikings. “There has been no oppression in the last 100 years that I know of. Now maybe I’m not watching it as carefully as other people.”

“If you don’t respect our country, then you shouldn’t be in this country playing football,” he said. “Go to another country and play football. If you had to go somewhere else to try to play the sport, you wouldn’t have a job. So that would be my take. If you can’t respect the flag and the country, then you don’t respect what this is all about. So I would say, adios.”

“I don’t know what social injustices have been,” Ditka said. “Muhammad Ali rose to the top. Jesse Owens is one of the classiest individuals that ever lived. I mean, you can say, ‘Are you (saying) everything is based on color?’ I don’t see it that way. I think that you have to be color blind in this country. You’ve got to look at a person for what he is and what he stands for and how he produces, not by the color of his skin. That has never had anything to do with anything.”

“No, I’m not because I’m getting old, Jim, and I’m to the point right now, I’m fed up with a lot of it,” Ditka said. “I mean, I don’t see all this, the social injustice that some of these people see. I don’t. I know my dad worked in a steel mill and he brought home a paycheck and we ate dinner every night together. We didn’t have anything, but we didn’t need anything because we had a family. That was a good time in America. I would like to see us get back to that.”

Not surprised with the trade. Was strange he went to a team that is so reliant on the passing game to begin with.

I don't get how teams keep trying their luck with Peterson. The guy is done. There is absolutely nothing left in his tank.

Speaking of, Goodell is gonna make it mandatory that players stand during anthems.
Wanna see how this works and how he implements that...

From what I have seen, your defense is going to demolish them. There is no other alternative.

I may take back my previous comments about them..

I can't say I'm particularly excited to see the Giants offence vs the Seahawks offence at this point... Hopefully Wilson turns it on.

So Zeke’s suspension is reinstated but apparently his people could appeal & he’d be able to play. Seems a big mess
