TIL Snowjoe watches NFL.

Drifting back in this season, I used to watch Seahawks every game when I lived in Canada and they were my closest team but when I came back to the UK I just fell out of it.

From 8:30 to 23:45 and missing all the 6pm KOs wasn't worth that blowout at Wembley - even if it was my first game

Now watch the Bengals get the ball first and score the TD. Rodgers never gets the ball in overtime.

Exactly. Hes 0-7 and has probably only had it once rofl.
The worst one was against the Cards. That unbelievable comeback and he didn‘t even get the fecking ball.

Josh Jones looks legit.

Aaron Rodgers is the greatest human being in history.

I always laughed at Romo mostly cos my brother is a Cowboys fan (and it was fun and easy to do)
But hes a fantastic commentator. Absolutely fantastic.

And see what happens when Rodgers gets his hands on the ball in OT? Good things happen.

That win was all Rodgers. I have no idea how he managed to win this game. No Bakthiari, Bulaga goes out, Taylor misses time, Cobb is out, Daniels is out, Perry is out, House is out, down by 14, sacked six times and he wins it catching them with 12 men on the field.

Rodgers leading a last minute drive with Tony Romo explaining the situation and how to manage time is just awesome

Yeah, looking good for us.

Also was nice to see the D play strong throughout.
Without their leader in Daniels, too. It's just the Bengals, I know. But still a positive sign.
I also like Kevin King a lot. Obviously had his issues with Green at times, but the guy can play.

They should have went for two in that game
They actually wanted to do that. But after Janis got injured on the play before they basically didn't have the guys to pull it off.

Possibly, but I still think with the way Packers D was, it was better odds going for that shot, then relying on a coin toss and if losing it, relying on the D to stop a TD (especially given what happened against Seahawks)

I tend to agree. But I get why they didn't. We were basically out of receivers. Someone has to catch it.
It's frustrating to think about how close we came to the SB in the last years but always found a way to screw it up. The worst loss will always be the one against Seattle. That one will haunt me forever.

My Skins doing the dirty on the Raiders atm (big helping hand from Carr)...but, I'm still nervous.

Doesn't take long for the Raiders to score when they get their shit together

Just watched pats game on gamepass.

Our defence is actually a joke.
It's pathetic.

We are flawed on both sides though. Short yardage runs are becoming an issue.

Titans with a very impressive win. Maybe there’s something to the hype they had before the season started!

Redskins winning!!

Brady leading the league in yards and touchdowns at 40 is quite impressive though.

How did Brees look vs Panthers?

True. We are quite reliant on Brady on offence (but then fair enough) and on defense... for me, it all boils down to our pass rush. Our secondary is quite strong IMO. But if they need to cover for extended periods... if the QB knows the rush aint getting to him... everything becomes easier. We need to generate pressure up front and then i think we'll see our D improve.

What's the view in america about the kneeling / protests?

I imagine very different depending on where you are? But are people Team Trump or Team Protest?

I expect a trade or a signing of a vet like Freeney in the near future.

I think communication has been an issue which McCourty will improve on and the D in general when Hightower returns.

We'll be good.

I'm Canadian, but it definitely seems like this week has really transformed the discourse on this issue. Before, it was a few random players willing to kneel, and a lot of the discussion was built around whether a team would be willing to sign Kaepernick with all the media frenzy and attention, both positive and negative, that would go along with it

However, Trump's comments have seemingly united both the NFLPA and the public in general around making their support of the players' right to kneel known. It seems like, at least for this week, a lot of players and fans are united behind the protests, although there have been some stories here and there about some clashes/comments from fans in light of widespread protest. However, people have seemed to rally behind the right to protest rather than necessarily participating in widespread support for the issue players like Kaepernick wished to highlight.

Thanks

New England Patriots...

32nd in the league on total yards conceded.
32nd in the league on pass yards conceded.
26th in the league on rush yards conceded.
32nd in the league on total points conceded.

1st in the league on total yards gained.
1st in the league on pass yards gained.
16th in the league on rush yards gained.
2nd in the league on total points gained.

A tale of two stories

fecking hell

Brady has put up those numbers without Jules & Mitchell and Allen being utterly ineffective. Amazing!!

As great as he is, it’s not sustainable. The D needs to improve quickly & we desperately need Hightower back.

Absolutely correct - not sustainable at all.

To give up so many yards, our defence must have been on the field a long time.

To put up all those yards, our offence would have had to be on the field for a long time.

To be 32nd and 1st given those factors, it's crazy. If anything it shows how brilliant Brady has been... but also just how utterly shite we've been on the defensive side of the ball.
