Jay Glazer stating they are likely to cut ties with Colin Kaepernick. I don't watch NFL, just thought it was interesting due to the Glazer's and all.

I think you are confusing this Glazer with the other Glazers.

A game and almost two quarters and I'm convinced once again the Rams picked the wrong QB. Nothing against Goff he may turn out to be pretty good. But the choice was always obvious, the QB who has never called a play/taken snaps under center or the QB who played in a pro style offense in college, calling plays and taking snaps under center.

Carson Wentz making some idiotic plays tonight. He needs to protect himself more by going down instead of going head on with a MLB or any tackler.

Looks like it. Stupid Rams, only thing they do right is beat us every year.

What's happening with seattle's offense? They are all over the place and seem to be piling on a huge list of injuries.

O line is shite, therefore the running backs and Wilson are struggling. Wilson picked up an injury during week one, so did Rawls during the Rams game. Graham isn't found, but I think he is on limited snaps so far. Some strange play calling, too. Last year they started badly as well, but they might be slowly improving again over the season. The San Francisco games bailed them out last season, so it will be interesting to see whether they can pick up some form there.

Woodhead done for the season with ACL injury. 2 big injuries in consecutive weeks for the Chargers.

Chargers looked great as well so far. Looks like those players returning on the OLine from injury from last year is making all the difference for them. Jags didn't really do much to stop them though.

I miss Lynch

Peterson will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair his meniscus. He's expected to miss several months.

Vikings also signed Ronnie Hillman. And the Pats are prepping Edelman for backup QB

It's better for him in the long run...worse for my dark horse SB pick though...

Vikings relying on Bradford to carry the team and stay healthy

Asiata looked better than Peterson has this season though. I don't think they are totally shot but a big loss. Heck the best Green Bay when Peterson spent most of the day going backwards.

I have a random one after watching the Giants Saints game.

I'm wondering how defensive offside and offensive holding can be offsetting penalties?

For example if you have a pick on a defensive offside play is nulled and original penalty taken - I.e it's basically a free play.

So wondering why same logic wouldn't be applied in above case?

The holding would still be an unfair advantage to the offense being that it was a free play. They can't break the rules just because they think it was an offside penalty.

Fair point, but still some inconsistency I feel. Perhaps if there is a foul by the offence the play should be nulled with the offside enforced. A neutral zone infraction is a pre snap penalty so it seems odd it's offset by a post snap penalty.

It's not really a deadball foul because you're not offsides until the ball is snapped. Any foul which would give the defense a significant advantage such as encroachment or unabated to the QB (if a DE / LB was moving forward offside at the snap) would result in the play being blown dead.

A defensive player lining up a few inches offside does not give the offense the liberty to do whatever they want.

This is the key. In this situation, they became offsides in a live ball situation, the holding also occurred during the same live ball.

Fair comments.

Corey Coleman broke his hand in practice - the Browns should just forfait the rest of the season.

Rumours that Belichick will start Edelman as backup QB tonight. I actually hope he gets a few snaps. He was a QB in college, and have done very well in a few trick plays in his career.

On a more serious note. I wonder how NE will function, given the injury situation. I guess Gronk is good to go, but if he's supposed to carry the team, with Edelman as backup QB, then i honestly feel he should rest for one more week. The entire defense will be focused on him, which significantly raises the chances of yet another injury. He's a machine, but he's a machine easily broken.. I trust Belichick though, and feel confident of 3-0.

The Texans have looked really quite good so far this season. I'll be mightily impressed if we can pull off a win tonight - I just think the injuries have caught up with us. Hoping though that as they are early this season it'll hopefully clear up as season progresses unlike last year when injuries happened at the end.

To be honest though I said I'd be happy with 2-2 without Brady - so even if we lose tonight we have still done very well to be where we are especially since we beat a very good Cardinals side.

I didn't think Texans would be this good. And with their pass rush, things might get tough. But again, I still believe we're capable of winning this.

Bill will go for the win but I'd be content whatever the outcome as long as we get no more injuries. At worst we'll be 2-2 (I expect us to be 3-1) without Brady.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see trick plays tonight but I think there will be a lot of ground & pound action.
