When is next years thread up and running? Whens the official turn of season date?
Free Agency starts on the 9th of March.

I think we should keep this thread going until then...and once FA starts - move to a new thread...FA + Draft at the end of April all in the new one.

Woah, let's not commit ourselves
Let's see how annoying the Patriots fans get first - we may want to open 2017 next week at this rate :P

Sanu comes across as a bit of a prick in that
I'd definitely be seeking him out of the game to say something if i was Logan Ryan

Article on NFL website about Blair Walsh signing with the Seahawks starts with the sentence:

"Blair Walsh could once again have the opportunity to win games for Seattle"

I hate the way some of them go on, I always thought the stuff they say in films was just for cheesiness but it actually happens in real life? It's cringeworthy!

Some of them are level headed, others are just like 8 year olds on xbox playing fifa

I love it tbh. One of my favourite parts of the game.

Color me astonished to learn that Albert Pujols, of Dominican Republic birth, would be a Tea Partier.

Back to the Super Bowl, an interesting stat was brought up the other day on an Atlanta radio station. The league keeps a stat that tracks how long each team holds a lead during a game. New England's stat for SB 51 - 0:00 - and they won, a rare feat.

Edelman is definitely one of those players you love when he's on your team, strongly dislike otherwise.

Just saw he has an account and posts somewhat regularly on Reddit which is pretty cool though.

How comes? He's just passionate and determined and generally a leader. Other then wishing he was on your team though I can't see why he would be disliked?

I've read a few books by players that basically say that when people get mic'd up for games they always go over the top with what they say and that players generally roll their eyes at that stuff!

He's one of those always in the face of other players mouthing off type of players who's scrappy and also, good. I guess in the same way a rival team supporter would hate Herrera? (If Herrera was a little better)

Of course I don't watch the Pats that much and I could be completely wrong.

I can definitely see why Jules would be hated by every opposition fan. Guy is a fecking competitor though. His blocking on the last two White TDs was ridiculous given his size.

My favourite part the Mic'd Up was when Gabriel said 'It's Tom Brady though maaan' when they were 21-0 up.

Actually just read his Reddit AMA and he came across well so mind changed.

I like Edelman and would like him at Packers tbh. Still cant believe that catch he made though. Still insane watching it.

I don't think he's mouthy at his opponents though? I think he's just a vocal leader on our sideline. Different to Sanu who for example was mouthy.

I could also be wrong but in that bit where he caught that crazy catch, he seemed like he had a good chat with the Falcons defender which given the state of the game since they were getting along and watching the replay suggests there isn't much animosity there which there probably would be if he was mouthy and we were on our comeback!

Some interviewee on Cowherd the other day said Edelman was the toughest guy in the NFL. That's high praise coming from another player.

JPP and Bell franchise tagged. I'm a bit surprised the Steelers haven't offered a long-term contract for Bell or is this normal practice (for RBs)?

Antonio Brown deal: 4-year extension worth $68 million - 17M per year over 4 years, and $18.5M over 3 years. Tied to Steelers through 2021.

Nice contract there. Beast player.

Fully deserves it as well. Best receiver in the league alongside Julio imo.

OBJ, Nuk and AJ are a level below them still.

AD is an unrestricted free agent! Will be interesting where he ends up. Still good enough to put up solid numbers imo.

Team him up with Brady?

Any contract I expect will be a smaller base pay with lots of incentives clauses. Coming off some serious injury issues. 31 years old. Teams will be cautious, someone will take the chance but it will have to be a CAP friendly contract I think,

I don't check the DN for a handful of hours and miss the party.:(

Wow. Didn't expect that. I think he'll sign with the Giants.
