Having a pretty torrid time at work so really looking forward to the games this weekend. Really excited.

Just watched super bowl 49 again to build the hype - sorry @Phil

Everyone talks about butlers pick and rightly so, but Brady made some pretty great throws in that 4th Q.

He really did. I drank heavily in that fourth quarter. Our pass rush went with Avril's injury and then that bloody dink dunk.

That heavy drinking meant it took me a little longer to process the fact it was picked too. :(.

Redskins OC Sean McVay will be the new LA Rams head coach. And apparently, the Chargers will hire former Bills coach Anthony Lynn as their HC.

The poll results on the NFC Championship game are so close btw

27% Packers-Falcons
25% Cowboys-Falcons
24% Cowboys-Seahawks
24% Packers-Seahawks

The AFC one was pretty much 100% Patriots and a close toss-up between the Chiefs and Steelers, rightfully so.

You're going to beat us aren't you :(

Nah, I'm not trying to jinx it or something, just really think it's not possible. It's the fifth time in playoff history that the n°1 scoring defense plays against the n°1 total defense - n°1 scoring defense has won every single time. That's not even taking into account that you guys have Brady on offense and we're stuck with Osweiler, or the fact that our D performs a lot worse away from home than at the NRG.

All fair points. But anything can happen in play-offs i guess. Also, i'm a little suspect of the no.1 scoring defense statistic - only because i believe part of it is because our offence keeps teams off the field, not that our defense is actually and outstanding score-stopping defense.

That's a real bummer. I wonder who you'll bring in. Good thing for you though i guess, is that your defense isn't just good because of an amazing scheme / co-ordinator, but also because you genuinely have top players. So for you guys, perhaps it won't be as big a hit as it could be.

Yea maybe but it's a stupid move from Joseph no matter how you cut it as far as I'm concerned. You don't get rid of Wade Phillips, you just don't.

The Offensive and ST coordinators have gone as well, so big changes all round. They're harder to criticise as changes though.

Oh certainly. I defeintely don't disagree with that.

Nelson ruled out.. I don't know what to make of that, he's their best receiver but Rodgers started playing better after Jordy left the game, not sure there's a correlation though.

I think Rodgers looks like the better QB without Nelson (cause he forces it into him too much when he is in the team) but overall, GB are a weaker team without him; less dynamic on offence.

I'm intrigued by that game. Of all the games this week that's the one that I just can't predict with any confidence what'll happen.

Perhaps Steelers and Chiefs too is unpredicatable.

Just put my deposit down for Chargers season tickets at the StubHub Center for the 2017 season. 30,000 seats in an intimate setting makes this the NFL's version of Craven Cottage. Then we'll be moving to the world's most expensive stadium ($2.6 billion) for the 2019 season. Hopefully one by-product of us sucking ass is that ticket prices remain reasonable.

My picks for this weekend are Seahawks, Cowboys, Steelers, and Pats.

I'm going with Pats, Steelers, Falcons and Packers.

I have no idea

Patriots are the obvious lock
But the other there are virtual coin flips imo

Betfair has

Falcons -5
Pats -15
Chiefs -1.5
Cowboys -4.5

I find the Seahawks@Falcons game the toughest to call. The only way I see the Cowboys losing is if Dak cracks under pressure.

I'm sure Cobb, Adams and Allison will pick up Nelson's lead easily with Cook supporting them. Difference is the O-Line. Rodgers will get the time to throw and one or other WRs will get free.

Ty and Rip have done quite well in the running game too. They are no Zeke, but still a good threat.

Steelers-Chiefs game moved to 8:20pm ET?! Feck off NFL!!!

EDIT: ah, due to bad weather forecast apparently... Still, feck that :(

Neither Houston or New England has anywhere near the best defense. Does anyone actually think they are better than Denver or New York?
Well Denver had trouble against the run. The Giants had a stretch where they were wrecking everyone though.

I think Cowboys will win at home, but you can't ever count out Rodgers. Even without Nelson, he could go bananas.

Packers secondary is the biggest problem. Having Clay back and performing helps the Rush D. But its the damn secondary I worry about. They keep getting burned especially with one on ones. Packers need to take the lead in that game.
Seahawks vs Falcons is hard to call, im going Falcons on that one.
Think it will be Steelers vs Patriots championship game.

Going to be a good weekend of Football, looking forward to our game vs the Texans. I think people are counting them out too early. If Brock can resist the urge to throw the ball to our secondary rather than his WR's, the Texan D could make this a low scoring game.

Hopefully Pats will win it by the first half so I can get an early sleep.

The quality & competitiveness of this weekend's games should be much better than last week.

Looks like Malcolm Mitchell is out for us, and Blount was out of practice due to illness. Our offense might be a little light, hopefully Brock keeps steady and screws up

I imagine you need to have the proper flu or that norovirus bug to be too ill to play this kind of game

Nervous. Anyone on the Seahawks bandwagon tonight? Don't all shout at once..

Yeah, I want a Seahawks-Packers rematch of the '14 Championship game at CenturyLink.

Any good bets? Seattle's D against Ryan's O is hard to predict, and I don't know how good the 'Hawks will be away from home, while the Falcons had a week rest...

Ah I'd rather face Dallas but I'd agree, that could be a huge game.

Not a clue which Seattle will turn up tonight, we've been brutal away from home this year, Earl was everywhere in the first game but out in this one and we've had fundamentals all wrong.

However, it's the playoffs and we did some clever things last week
- in conclusion, would not touch this game for betting.

Seahawks have been disappointing this year & their away record isn't great. But you can never discount Russell Wilson & their D so it will be a tough game for Atlanta.

However, sorry @Phil but I hope Atlanta wins :)
