long time jints fan here , my son is 4th generation - he wouldn't have to come back so often if he didn't f up so much early doors. INT to end the 1st half to a TD in the dying seconds of the game. kill it early. they'd be 5-0 if he kept his head out of his ass.
I didn't say he was faultless and the shit he gets isn't warranted but when it comes down to these situations he is pretty clutch. Luck plays a huge factor in that yes but he somehow throws some ridiculous pass to get the win.

So teams can't negotiate individual deals? Seems a bit weird.

America for you. apparently hates communism and socialism yet applies principles from both in it's greatest love.
Unlike professional football leagues in Europe that use a tiered structure of promotion and relegation, the NFL has a closed membership. Every team in the NFL is a a franchise. This means certain things like uniforms and TV deals can't be negotiated individually by teams. However, other aspects such as stadium naming rights and local media can. Their revenue-sharing model might be based on socialist principles, but the NFL is all about capitalism and generated $10 billion in 2014.

Apparently Daniel Fells, Giants' player, has had a part of his foot amputated after contracting an MRSA infection. His career's over.

Michigan are annoyingly good so far.

Hope Spartans knock them down a notch Saturday
Man I miss living in the states some days. I've in CT for 4 years and loved watching the college games at times, so hard to get anything in England on college games. Had I have stayed one more year I'd have gone to florida state uni but moved back here at the end of my junior high school year.

Yes, just read about this. Horrible news for anyone. imagine just having a toe injury and requiring minor surgery and 2 weeks later they have to amputate parts of/ yourt foot because of a virus contracted in the very place you went to get better.

I cannot wait for Pats vs. Colts. At 71-14 Brady should do this....

DEFLATED.

They are so going to run up that score.

Definitely his last season but our offense struggling like this its hard to see us going to the Super Bowl let alone winning it. This defense can't keep up this play all year.

The NFL needs a match of the day show.

I would love that in North America, but their post-game highlights usually consist of 30 second clips and two ex players calling each other shit. Think it also suits fantasy football junkies as well; quick highlights, quick stats

Monday Night Football has a bit of that flair and some potential, but again, horrible banter and Chris Berman is a bad combination. Sunday Night on NBC offers the best highlights and analysis, and Chris Collingsworth and Tony Dungy are both great, imo. Sunday Night is more serious and it offers a more in depth look into football strategy, if all a little watered down and superficial

The NFL network carries every game - and ESPN , ESPN2 and all the other sports channels across the 500 channels of shit on TV carry NFL games , news , not news , made up news, players favorite trees , coffee , who has the largest spoon collection , etc. there's plenty of ways to see the NFL games already over here.

I only want highlights really.. Shame I never saw the C4 show.

Also, Falcao walk over tonight?

They'll certainly hope for the game to be over asap, Jones still isn't 100%.

Extremely tempted to put a bit down on Falcons -3.5. I'm not having it that Brees can turn it around for them against one of the form sides.

Edit:
0-14 Glad I kept my money in my pocket at this stage!

Always wondered, and never bothered to google
Is there a reason there's no NFL on Friday or Saturday nights?

If you look at Wikipedia under the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_Broadcasting_Act_of_1961) which references Title 15, Chapter 32 of the United States Code (http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/15/chapter-32) which defines "Telecasting of Professional Sports Contests" in dealing broadcasting TV Then to quote wikipedia

"It also, in effect, protects high school football and college football game attendance by blacking out pro football games locally on Friday evenings and Saturdays during those sports' regular seasons; these measures effectively outlawed the broadcasting (and, in practice, the playing) of NFL games on those days, since virtually all of the country is within 75 miles of at least one high school game on every Friday night in September and October."

TL;DR: to protect attendance of college and highschool games (industries)

I'm feeling optimistic about tonight for a change, I was gutted by the last gasp Giants win last sunday as I thought the Niners did enough to win the game and the improvements in the Offence were there for all to see. The Ravens have the same record as the Niners but i just feel that The Niners will build on the improvements from last week.

Lets go Niners!

I post a picture of Tom Brady looking like jesus and not a single one of our numerous Patriots fanboys says anything. SMH.

You need to post one of him looking like a god, which is what he is.

That other guy in Wisconsin with only one ring can be Jesus. Meh.....whatever.

Well the Thursday night games are still relatively new. It used to be just Sunday afternoons, then came Monday night football. Then Sunday night. Eventually a Thursday night game was created.

an evolution of the schedule just like we see in football in zither countries

what even is a catch

Well, according to the rulebook it is this nonsense:

In order to complete a catch, a receiver must clearly become a runner. He does that by gaining control of the ball, touching both feet down and then, after the second foot is down, having the ball long enough to clearly become a runner, which is defined as the ability to ward off or protect himself from impending contact. If, before becoming a runner, a receiver falls to the ground in an attempt to make a catch, he must maintain control of the ball after contacting the ground. If he loses control of the ball after contacting the ground and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. Reaching the ball out before becoming a runner will not trump the requirement to hold onto the ball when you land. When you are attempting to complete a catch, you must put the ball away or protect the ball so it does not come loose.
