Guys if anybody is about and can pm me a 49ers river for iPhone I would love you forever.
What the hell has come of the Niners? Two maybe three years they were the team to beat along with Seattle. Now they wont even make the playoffs. Stupid stupid decision to get rid of Harbaugh. Kaep aint doing shit. Their defense isn't as great. Everything is falling apart for them.
Yeah he has. Doesn't his team have three shutouts in a row or something? He has worked wonders at Michigan, and I don't know if its just throwing a guy leaving your organization under the bus, but by most reports, a lot of his players and a lot of the backroom staff turned on Harbaugh by the time he left. Evidently they couldn't stand him and the writing was on the wall a bit, especially after the 8-8 season last year
The loss we suffered in the summer was mental, we lost several key players plus out head coach. It's a lot better today on the offence (still not good but a huge improvement)What the hell has come of the Niners? Two maybe three years they were the team to beat along with Seattle. I guess with a whole lot of players leaving, they are in a huge process of rebuild.
That pass from Manning was awful.Giants fecked up at the end of the half there. Had to a great chance to make it a two possession game and Eli turns it over.
Yeah I only recalled 5 leaving. But then I saw the entire list of who left and I was kinda shocked. So many good players and so much experience all lost in one summer can take a toll on the team. The loss we suffered in the summer was mental, we lost several key players plus out head coach. Also you think Tom might get fired this season if results dont go his way?The loss we suffered in the summer was mental, we lost several key players plus out head coach. It's a lot better today on the offence (still not good but a huge improvement)

I think it's important that Kap gets benched, it was a better performance today but another Sunday, another loss. 1-4 now and making all the excuses in the world doesn't excuse the impotent offence. Also you think Tom might get fired this season if results dont go his way?
Wow what a game. Eli had a pretty good night with 441 passing yards. He takes a lot of shit but he is pretty clutch in these game winning 4th Quarter drives. Thats 27 now in his career.
Yes he was lucky to avoid the interception. But grounding? He knew what he was doing. He got out of the box and threw it close to where Vereen was. The only mistake he made in the first half was that interception (talking like Rodgers there). Anyways if I was a Giants fan, I wouldnt exactly be comfortable with Eli as my QB as well. That might be how the box score looked but he threw up a terrible pass and was lucky the interception was overturned, then was lucky to avoid intentional grounding, then threw into double coverage for the winning touchdown. And I only watched the last drive.

I don't blame the Giants. I mean who could have predicted an Eli Manning turnover?
Tut tut. What a game, touchdown in 70 seconds with Beckham, Randle out and Cruz didn't play the game at all. The only get out pass was Vereen (proving to be an astute buy) and Manning did it. He had a very good game, except the bone headed interception. Top of NFC East and with the division being so bad, it's important to win this division.
Cry a mighty river Eboue, we're fine with Eli. Whatever happened to Lions today lol
Once again last night the NFL proved why it's the greatest show on earth and not just turf.
Exciting comebacks, high scoring games and great plays all around. And the red zone coverage is something else!
As an Eagles fan of course I'm delighted that on both sides of the ball we showed up. My only slight criticism is that 39-17 doesn't actually flatter us. Our offense should have been more ruthless. But they moved the ball well most the time and our D was just plain nasty.
Fair play to Cinncy for that comeback win. I still think they will fall short because of Mr Average Dalton but that have one hell of a team.
The race to the play offs is wide open! In the NFC east the giants are only one game ahead of us and next week we play them... A win for the birds and it's on! I reckon 8-8 could make the play offs this season... It's that wide open and unpredictable.
Soccer watch and learn.
I think the best thing about the NFL is that the rules are designed to make sure teams can comeback from terrible positions to win games
Just like the NBA. The game has artificial/arbitrary rules which forces games to be exciting. 24 sec violations, no back courts etc in NBA; 4th downs, time outs, silly OT rules in the NFL. Both also have variable point scoring which means games are rarely drawn.I think the best thing about the NFL is that the rules are designed to make sure teams can comeback from terrible positions to win games

To be fair I'd love to see some of these rules in football(soccer). Imagine auto 20 yard free kick to your opponents if you keep the ball in your own half for more than 24 secs or pass it back into your own half.
What do you mean by the rules are designed to make sure teams can comeback mate?!
I mean stuff like using the clock with timeouts, field goals, onside kicks etc. I know they are just part of the game but what happens because of that is that they allow trailing teams to have a proper go and it's not easy for the team in the lead to just kill the games.

The Eagles drop far too many catches though, Bradford's numbers would look so much better if his teammates weren't dropping 3-4 pretty simple catches every week
Wut?
Greatest show on earth? Take a seat in the corner son. To claim that soccer/football has to learn from NFL is beyond pushing it. How are you even comparing the two sport and what criteria you've decided that soccer has to learn from NFL ? NFL's rules suit the sport fine, it's technical and involves a massive roster of players and football rules suit the sport.
I hope to God that Giants beat Eagles. I got boo'ed in Philly for cheering Man Utd when they played Philadelphia Union. I don't like the city, and it's always good to win over your divisional rivals, especially after losing to Dallas.
Oh yeah I agree! He's been let down by his wide receivers but that's what you get even you trade your best WR's in back to back seasons. Ryan Matthews though looks a beast and is putting Murray to shame.
I'm comparing them based on entertainment which surely is the main purpose of sport? If you aren't being entertained then what's the point in watching? Soccer could learn a lot from the NFL and rugby... It's stuck in the dark ages and needs to move forward. Look at the red zone coverage and then compare that with soccer Saturday! I'm not talking about soccer learning the rules to change them in soccer but there's so much they could take from the NFL.
So teams can't negotiate individual deals? Seems a bit weird.

Are you talking about issues/gaps in coverage or in the sport itself?
Even if you have issues with coverage, NFL is a sport that's riddled with breaks. It's a stop-start game with 4 tries for every 10 yard of progress. Action sequences are explosive because they virtually start from a stand still. Football is a spontaneous game and you don't get to watch umpteen number of replays in the red zone because football simply doesn't have that many breaks. Trying to mimick what NFL does will never work. Either way, EPL is the most watched league in the world, it really doesn't look like soccer could learn from NFL, although there seems to be a case for NFL to learn something from EPL on how to market their league in other countries.
I'm talking about the sport itself! I'm talking about the entertainment of soccer against the NFL. And in my opinion there's just no way soccer comes close.
I understand that the red zone wouldn't work so much in football but why not up to date highlights? Suddenly that show becomes more dynamic!
I like NFL. I settled in Jersey in 2005 and I've been following Giants for nearly 10 years and I like the games. I don't want to knock NFL, but I'd rather watch soccer/football any day over NFL. I'm sure being American, you feel the other way, but football is the true global sport of the game and your opinion would definitely be in the minority.
