I followed the Pats due to Madden 2006 (think that was the one). The 2 default teams were Pats & Eagles but Pats had the better stats. Stuck with them since 
Also I only followed NFL after watching The Longest Yard. Useless film but it made American Football seem fun, which it is once you grasp the basic rules of the game.

1985 AFC championship game for me. Pats v Dolphins. Pats went on to get murdered by the Bears in the Super Bowl.

I can't speak for us all but due to the frequent bandwagon references, there's some earlier in the thread I think.

How easy is it to get tickets to the NFL? I'm not an expert on it or anything but am going to Chicago in September and wouldn't mind going to see a game (they're on when I'm there, have checked that bit.) On TicketMaster it says tickets are about $300 each at the moment. Is that the normal going rate or is there touts etc I can get them off outside like at football over here? I've looked on their website but it doesn't tell you costs as all the tickets have sold out so not sure if the Ticket Master ones are good value or not. Apologies if it's been asked before or anything. Cheers
Guys, if I buy a season nfl game pass and use unblock us does that get around all the 'blackouts'?

Been a Vikings fan for a few years now (solely for the name) and it's finally looking positive. If Teddy can continue his development we might have quite a future ahead. Will be interesting to see if AD is himself after a year out as well

It was that Super Bowl for me, too. Had to choose one, went for the "England" connection. Then we had the glorious Grogan/Eason qb battle. In hindsight it was short term pain for long term gain!
It was the same with United for me at that time. There was something about the less-successful teams at the time that appealed to me. As you say, a very good long term decision!
