Nfl 2010-2011

LOL, selling jerseys equals success?

Tebow may make it but doubtful. QBs like him rarely make the transition to the NFL full stop. Vick in college was a more effective passer in an offense at VaTech that was much closer to NFL style than anything Florida ran under Meyer. Florida runs a system that would never be run in the NFL. Groh was a disciple of Parcells and used much of his pro coaching to install schemes at the college level. Meyer is and always will be a collegiate coach looking to spread the field and use a mobile QB to take advantage of opposing defenses, most of which don't have the talent or speed to keep up.

For the good that Tebow did on Sunday, he still sailed passes all over the field, and looked terrible at times in the redzone. I still don't see him ever being anything better than an average QB, if that. His ability to run is the only thing that will keep him in a starting role. His arm is average and his pocket passing is below par.

I wonder what Kubiak thinks, seeing has he is odds on to be Denver's next HC. He may want a more pocket friendly passer. Orton would have started if not for an injury.

where's a good place to read about the upcoming rookie draft class? maybe somethign that spotlights some of the top prospects?

Kinell...every QB has to be Tom fecking Brady to be successful in the NFL?

Didn't Tebow sell more jerseys than Brady this season? At least he has the star factor.

In the few short years since I've started paying a bit more attention to American sports, notably NBA and NFL, I've not heard many sports celebrities being wanked over as much as this fella, he really is the "boy next door, hansom, QB with the model girlfriend/wife stereotype" that we so often see in the movies.... lucky bastard:lol:

Theres not many men who can honestly say they wouldn't like to be Tom Brady.

Apparently Brady doesn't make as much money as Gisele - imagine being the best QB in the NFL, earning $48 million guaranteed and having a hot wife earn more than you do. :(

Wheels coming of the Mike Vick bandwagon ?

i'd say it's more a come down from last week's high and they let the foot off the pedal against a team they just expected to beat by showing up.

I see a big bounce back against dallas next week (even if it's a meaningless game)

The Vick bandwagon not stopping, once again a great fantasy week won me my fantasy tournament. Brady wins the MVP due to his superior efficiently obviously, but Vick has still been hugely consistent, 2 TDs or more every game he's been...good stuff.

Vick hasn't done it this consistently since the prison showers!

Favre's inactive for the Vikings final game, surely has to be the end of his long career.

True. It probably is the most important game this week though, the NFC West up for grabs.

I want to see how Bradford performs under pressure more than anything else.

I'm watching a stream of Pats Dolphins at the moment (as i seem to have become a bit of a Pats fan due to a lad on my uni course), Dolphins are getting destroyed. Edelman just finished off the half by returning a punt 90 yards for a touchdown.

Great return by Edelman, longest punt return in Pats history apparently.

Is it me or does Ed Reed always look to make a lateral pass every time he intercepts the ball?

Lovely throw by Hoyer, Brady would've been proud of that, nice catch by Tate.

Josh Freeman has a bright future. Last two weeks:

42 from 52, 492 yards, 7 TDs, 0 INT

Still only 22 years old as well. If the Bucs hold on to win today they will be the first team ever to start ten rookies and win ten games.

Great season for the Pats, 14-2 and the best record in the NFL with this young team. 36 TDs and just 4 picks all season for Brady, he's immense all season and in particular since the Browns defeat.

Freeman does have a future no doubt

LeGarrette Blount also got over a 1,000 rushing yards. Is he the first undrafted rookie to break a thousand?

I listen to him on his radio show on the way home from work each week. He comes across has a really nice articulate well balanced young man. Apparently he is extremely hard working and humble.

Nice to see good things happening to good people.
