Probably Manchester city. Regardless, looking at how our club is runned, and how we need a manager that can bring unity and also discipline, Pochettino is making more sense everyday. Managing psg dressing room is lite work compared to United and his experience there and at spurs is exactly what we need. ETH seems more and more like a gamble now because of his lack of experience at managing huge egos and a top club that lacks structure. ETH might have a popular philosophy, but if he doesn't command respect from the dressing room, the players will do the same thing they are doing with Ralf to ETH. Regardless, the poll shows that ETH is the popular choice, but often the popular choice in these polls are not the right choice. I feel like ETH needs to go manage at a top club first, preferably Barcelona or a team outside England before I can say for certain that he will make it here.
you shouldn't care about the votes. I'm sure a couple of those votes were among those waxing lyrical about Sancho for 2 years despite not knowing a thing about the player. We aren't exactly a panel of experts here. The disrespect for Poch's CV is something else. ETH's football is good but most people don't even have an idea what his weaknesses are and already sound so convinced he's better than managers who have performed across several clubs in several top leagues.Yeah I think it's time some of that 64.5% woke up to the fact he hasn't managed huge egos before and they will dominate him like we are seeing happening now
There's no manager in world football, past or present that can get this squad playing great football. Talent wise it seems a pretty good squad but there's something bigger at play that I don't believe can be fixed by simply appointing a great manager. Whether that's lack of squad togetherness because of cliques/egos, a lack of motivation because too many are mercenaries deep down, or that mentally they don't have what it takes to be at a big club. I would say it's probably all three of those things in different players, so I don't know how you begin to figure out which ones need to be moved on and which ones could be salvaged. Just as Impossible as solving the problems with the squad is, is finding a manager to do it. It's going to be a long and expensive road that's for sure.
I don’t accept it is a 4-5 year project. I personally think we are a midfielder (possibly two but let’s start with one), a RB and a CF away from being good enough to challenge.there is so much truth in this post. We need to accept that there is no quick fix to this club, and a full on project (4-5year) is needed to be put in place. We need a manager that wants a project, dreams a philosophy can be introduced by Developing youth and buying wisely. I don’t want a manager that can handle the egos we have, I want a manager that can rid off the players that believe they are bigger than the club (hoping rangnick will advise this). You don’t sign for Man Utd because youre guaranteed CL or winning trophies, that is earned through hard work and passion. We want to sign talent that are honourEd by the badge. It’s clear we need to take the club by the roots and pull it up and that takes time.
For me it’s ETH, what he’s achieved at Ajax is sensational, built an inexperienced squad and took them within inches of the CL final. Then had his squad gutted and had to rebuild from almost scratch. And look what he’s achieving again with another relatively inexperienced squad. Plus he’s never paid over £15m for a player meaning he surely has an eye for talent.
I’m not taking away that poch is a great coach, he’s worked excellently with very little but I don’t see him building a destiny at United. And for me his appointment would feel somewhat underwhelming.
I truly feel ETH is exactly what we need and I fear he is going to be a one time only opportunity.
I think its Juventus. I dont expect Allegri to still be their manager in the next season.
Don’t think I’ve ever been more resigned to the fact they’ll hire badly again.
You could offer this board gold or magic beans and they’d take the beans 10 times out of 10, even after realising 9 times in a row they aren’t magic.

That could be one bumper transfer window (and a good coach).
The squad seems totally inept but there were times last year where we were only a cool head in CM away from getting a clear lead at the top of the league. Ole asked for a CM and a RB in the summer and we would not be in this shit if we bought the right players then. Most of our squad are good players in bad form and it is a significant task to get them all playing well again but just a few key changes will make all the difference.
I would still go for Mancini if we could get him. He would get us winning matches. But above all we need a top class CM and it will be no shock how radically we will improve if we get the right player in there.
I think I may have over exaggerated the 4-5year margin but there’s no quick fix here. I’m tired of us thinking we can just buy our success back. There’s a good set of some exciting young prospects but it feels poisoned by overpriced, overpaid under achieversI don’t accept it is a 4-5 year project. Yeah. There’s no understanding of how to develop the football side of the club (which is treated as a side issue, it seems). No manager should have to make do at this club but that's sadly down to the yankee leeches running us into the ground

If it’s between ETH and Poch, they’ll hire John CarverIf it's one of Poch or ETH, then it'll be better than anything they've done post Fergie no matter how it plays out, the idea seems better this time to me, so it's all about how they go about doing it now.
- Molde- Molde manager
- Lokomotiv Moscow DoF
- ....
Maybe they'll hire a groundsman next. Who the hell knows.
Erik Ten Hag broke Ajax's 5 year Eredivisie drought. Apparently anybody could win the league with Ajax though.

I’m sure they do, it’s the Swiss Ramble on Twitter. They do threads on finances from different teams around EuropeShould avoid a manager whose style fits our players. I don't even want to know what style fits our players. Will take years before we win anything with a manager who demands a complete overhaul, would take twice as many to win anything with the current squad.

We paid good money for him and never tried lowballing them, the problem we've got with Van de Beek is with Van de Beek himself"Positive relationship following the transfer of Donny van de Beek"
Taking the piss?

If Abramovich does what he usually does, I hope United would consider Tuchel. He is a winner and has the right mentality. His football is attractive. He has been firm with his players. I think he will definitely deliver multiple trophies.
Tuchel seems to be setting a narrative that will trigger his exit. He is deliberately enflaming the Lukaku issue and is putting the loss and the slump at his feet. This will end with the 'it's me or him'. Only two managers in the modern era have prevailed in a tussle of a manager vs a player, Sir Alex and Pep. His mentor is here already, so, I think, Tuchel's appointment at United isn't too far fetched. I would love him to be at United.I'd be very surprised, they might have a long term coach in Tuchel now, who would he even replace him with? I don't think of Pochettino as being better than Tuchel and i'd be surprised if ETH went to Chelsea
