He can't say anything else.
Public pronouncements are irrelevant.
I've seen Valverde mentioned a few times - has 20 years experience in management as is currently without a club, so can be appointed immediately without compensation. See also Lucien Favre and Rudi Garcia.
I mean he is just stating a fact. Deflection if you ask me.On to the Valverde thread.
What? Not even the 'It's an honour when you are linked with a club like that but...' trope?
You have a weird hatred for Romano, did he sleep with your wife or something?!Another copied tweet from the fraud
Yep. Ajax don't have luxury brand money. As a football club, they actually have to be good at football. So strange that it doesn't feel like that for us. Counterintuitive, but modern times I guess.Eric ten Hag are from my point of view the most exiting prospect of all our candidates but there are a few question marks around choosing a manager from Ajax.
1. Ajax is extremely well organized from top to bottom. They have very competent and familiar faces all the way from their CEO Edwin Van der Sar down to coaches on academy level. They have a crystal clear philosophy, a well oiled system how to develop their youngsters and recruit new player to their first team. This means that the manager and coaches on all levels can spend all their energy on developing talent and integrate them to the Ajax philosophy.
Working in such a professional environment make it more difficult to judge both player and managers real talent or ability
2. The Dutch supporters can be very demanding but this is nothing compared to the British media and the attention a United manager is getting when things go south.
ETH seems to be level headed guy but managing United is a completely different animal. I’m not saying it’s the most important criteria but it’s something that has to be part of the judgement when we decide who to hire.
Mainz wasn't a circus, but a pretty well run club; however I think he got dealt a very tough hand following on Tuchel who had followed Klopp, and their strong DoF Heidel had also kind of peaked and was on his way out soon after. To be fair, Mainz is a bit of a circus isnt it? And he only got 6 month.
His work in Nordsjælland was great.
Get him. Even if it means at the end of the season.
Agreed. I'd actually be more confident of salvaging our season with Valverde than Poch.Get him. Even if it means at the end of the season.

Hard to look past Carrick imo.
Carrick’s at the wheel.Certainly not Carrick.
Hard to look past Carrick imo.
Honestly, I know it's a joke but quite frankly i hope people don't honestly push for it because this board will listen, you know they will, and we'll be up shit creek
I do find the sheer amount of people clamouring for Ten Hag slightly odd. I'm sure if you'd have asked this question at the start of the year you'd have some very different responses.
Honestly, how many people who want Ten Hag in have actually watched a lot of Ajax, or know much about their system?
Not even in jestAfter this game I think Carrick deserves it.
