Anyone with a semblance of attacking philosophy. Genuinely couldn't care less if we concede, I just want some attacking football back.
If true, the clowns in charge of the club should immediately be ringing him and working out the details. Give him a contract for a season and see how it goes. At least one time this club should be proactive.

Just take a calculated risk for a change. The time for the right appointment was after Mounrinho, we need a complete rethink and a cleansing of the whole backroom staff in charge of football matters.

I don't understand this poll, Mancini is at the top of the world right now being the Champion of Europe and aiming at the World Cup, he is never going back to club football anytime soon until 2024.

If Ole isnt sacked after chelsea game at end of this month then he will stay for rest of season. We dont play the top four again till March. So in theory after Chelsea game there are games where Utd should pick up wins and rebuild confidence.

To be honest if this is the type of managers the Glazers are looking for, better leave Solsjkær alone until the end of the season or until he hits rock bottom and feels it's time to go and takes Pogba with him, whatever comes first. Very depressive.

Ten Hag has to be the favourite. Ragnick is worth a look and I actually wouldn't mind Rogers. Knows the league and a good mix between progressive and pragmatic.
Thinking about it a bit more after that training session against City, we've so far never really hired an attacking coach that sets sides up to score lots of goals.
Made a table of the top 15 21/22 xgD and top 15 xgD 20/21, and Christophe Galtier figures prominently in both along with some names like Pioli at Milan, Rose at Dortmund / Gladbach, Allegri, Gasperini, Imanol at Sociedad.
Galtier or Rose have done it at multiple clubs, so I'd be happy with either if we can get them. I think Rose + Haaland in the summer would be a great option to have.
- Moyes can coach a good mid block press, build a physical side, not very well known for attacking setups.
- LvG had a clear vision for football but he's been left behind a little by the advent of vertical tiki-taka. His football was just slow, methodical, side to side (horizontal) without generating a lot of threat.
- The toxic one - If he didn't invent the term parking the bus, he was at least the poster boy for it.
- Ole is basically a slightly shit version of Jose tactically with better man management skills.

Moyes was a reactive coach and so was LVG, Mourinho and Ole from the evidence at hand. We resorted to playing low block/mid block football on the counter. We've yet to hire a coach who implements a high line to good effect and one of those coaches is Erik ten Hag. I'm sick and tired of seeing us play in a reactive manner hence was against the appointment of Conte who is also a reactive coach against the big teams IMO.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Italy national team's coach is a prestigious one and the Italians love their national side. However the job is paid with a packet of crisps and a Netflix season subscription. To get the job Mancini had to take a £11.5m pay cut from his previous job. It was for feckin Zenit. Ole makes a 10m a year as opposed to Mancini whose around on 2m a year.
I know we have spoken about this in the past. But just dreading for the day where we can actually dominate against the big boys rather than just staying low and look for counter.

I agree mate, I've been yearning for a coach like that for ages. Someone who looks to force the opposition into making mistakes rather than sit back and wait for them to make mistakes.

Even better, at least those that should understand him will and those who don't will have to just work hard to get into his teams.
Zidane won't come most probably and Mancini and Enrique are unavailable until at least December 2022. Ideal thing for club would probably be to wait until Pochettino gets sacked and sign him on free. However, it's only early days of November so he may not be sacked for another few months at least.
I'd be happy with a caretaker until May but a better one this time, not an ex-player/legend so if there's someone who could get us top 4 this season, progress through group stages of CL and manage an okay performances in knockout stages, perhaps even a decent FA Cup run, that's as good as possible in this current situation probably. Someone like Blanc, who did well at PSG if I remember correctly, should be fine. Though, if a caretaker got us to top 4 and did well in cup competitions, I fear our board would just hire him permanently like they did with Ole

Not trying to start an argument as I'm no great shakes when it comes to tactics, but was LVG a reactive coach? I thought he was all about dominating possession and waiting for the opposition to make a mistake by getting out of position and then capitalising?
How can you not want this man as manager? Speaks with so much clarity and tactical intelligence.
