Been some time we've played a game draft, so will see if this gets any traction:
Blackjack Draft:
You have to keep drawing till you reach 18 or above. There will be some bonus incentives if you reach 18 and above and still choose to draw.
Essentially you' have multiple criteria's in order of difficulty.
Lower numbers will have more meh pools whereas good pools will be from 18-21.
For example:
2-3 - Picks a non WC, CL, Euros winner from Italy (Tier 3 pool)
4-5 - Picks a non WC, CL, Copa winner from Brazil (Tier 3 pool)
etc etc
18-21 - Pick from Tier 2 pool. If you choose to draw another card, you can draw from Tier 1 pool. If you choose not to, you get back to Box 0 (which has Tier 0 players) and start next round of draws.
If you exceed 21, you get to choose from Tier 0 pool.
Tier 1 Pool - GOATs and Positional GOATs
Tier 2 Pools - Good players short of GOATs
Tier 3 Pool - Decent utility players
Tier 0 pool - reserve reserve players
The theme will be defined further if there's interest enough.
Suggestions welcome.
