Next Draft - Ideas and Discussions

Personally i dont mind waiting but a lot of people do so id suggest something like this: every draft you start with 11 picks but if you pick under certain time limit(+pm picks) you get to pick the 12th player. Time limit you arrange how you want(30/60/90 minutes depending what you prefer).


What bothers me is not posting pictures when picking :lol: dont mind not updating so much, there is always someone and its easy to do but the picture thing is annoying as feck, specially as i love them. So what id do is use that to resolve draws, who ever posted more complete picks(picture and full updated list with a tag) wins the game. If both had the same flip the damn coin.

Basically feck those posting from phone, usually with very limited connectivity that makes researching itself a massive challenge let alone waiting for Google Images to load and spend half an hour trying to get a link pasted on the caf when the page isn't able to load. Well played.

crap joke.
Agree its not the greatest idea for those that use the phone in most picks. Maybe combine both rewards(draws and additional player) for picking in time.
 
Just record pick times. It's the easiest solution and if you can't calculate it or update the list by phone someone else can help out.

I've also suggested to reduce the picking time when the draft advances as the pool gets narrower and you don't need extensive research to pick.

6 hrs after 5th or 6th pick and 4 after 8th/9th. If you won't be around you can send a shortlist, etc..
 
Have a draft of 18 teams and the highest 4 pick times need to win a play off to enter the Round of 16.
Now that is incentive enough.

No offence, but this is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen here :lol:
 
For the next draft, any interest in a Monopoly or Criteria based draft? I.e. Pick players based on a certain pre defined criteria
 
Here's an idea that has been mentioned before I think is an All-Time Snake with no restrictions but you have a points limit for your starting XI. These points are assigned to a list of players who are the best of the best and some below that - like EAPs minimum bids for certain players in the Uaction Draft. This should prevent GOAT overdose but also allow ultimate tactical flexibility which should hopefully lead to some interesting line-ups

Wouldn't mind that myself but think @Annahnomoss did a draft with a similar concept.
 
I think an all time would be nice after having a seriously heavy restriction one at the moment.

Could we not roll every turn so you constantly have to worry about whether you're next pick will be played with or not played with.
 
Yeah I'm in for whatever aswell. This will be full before the theme has even been decided at this rate.
 
After being guided and nurtured by a brilliant mind of Sjor Bepo in the last one, would try going alone.

I can open it, but all the players are all over the place when I first open it up. I can rejig them all around but as soon as I go to send, share, add names etc it all reverts to where they first where.
