New Premier League ball 2015/16

Make 'em play with one of them light-as-feck 50p balls that you got from the seaside shop to play with on the beach.

Thats a true test of skill right there!

I still have a few of the footballs at home - now they are the ones my kids play with in the garden.

I used to have, literally, boxes of them! A box would hold around 30 of the balls (un-inflated...obviously) and I would give them out as prizes after doing training, or to football clubs etc. Probably had over 250 of them (and they retailed for over 100 pounds at the time!). Happy days!

Should be fun although it would be hellish for goalkeepers, you get reverse swing on those bad boys! Every shot is like a knuckleball.

I'm pretty sure that was the type of ball Roberto Carlos used when he scored against France.

I think the balls that had the best feel were the Tricolores. At least from my memory. The team me and my mate played for bought those so we'd shoot a couple as far as we could into the woods and then pick them up after practise. Then just use sandpaper to remove the club name from them and write our own. Loved those balls.

The Tricolore was good. One of the earliest of the more responsive (if slightly wobblier) Adidas/Nike balls that took over from Mitre to flood the market during the 2000s.

I think there is just far too much colour on it. I think in this case less is more.

Hate this, footballs should be white.

Like the stupid cunning pink cnut ball in the FA cup last year.

Make it white you cnuts!

It's fecking horrible.

I mentioned it in one of the match threads but with the non symmetrical colouring when it's running along the floor it sometimes looks like it's wobbling, in the same way as a car wheel looks crazy when a hubcap is off centre.

Played couple of games with this ball it's plastic-y and light. Dont like it one bit and its ugly as feck.

Nothing we can do about it. Thats unfortunately the path football has taken, the boots and some shirts are going the same direction.

I think it's perhaps the finest ball I have ever seen

You are all so wrong

Wow, a 3 page thread on a football.
