That sounds like an old bug that we (thought) fixed ages ago. If you click a cell on the grid (bottom right) it will say "undef" but will then let you carry on. If this is the case can you let me know so we can have another look
I got one vowel today, so it did not go well. There should be some guaranteed minimum amount of both vowels and consonants given every time to avoid games that are borderline unplayable.

I think it’s because I was playing the previous nights at 11.59 as I forgot and then while I was half way through it reset to the next day and then wouldn’t let me play.

Are the letters meant to be the same for everyone? Sorry if this has been asked.
I play against my family and sometimes we will share our scores and lament the fact that it was all vowels today/shit letters etc, as if they're the same. And then I test it on another browser and they are the same. But then sometimes they complain about not being able to use the Q or something, and I didn't get a Q.
I'm not sure if they're intended to be different or not , but it feels like they should be the same if you can only play once daily. I really like the game by the way so only asking!

letters are different, when bored I'll often play for 20 -30 mins incognito so get a fresh board every time

We use an online dictionary. We're always happy to add words that are missing when people let us know
Incognito mode always gives you different letters (how dull would it be otherwise). People on the leaderboard also get (some) different letters to stop people cheating by playing on diff devices and then knowing what letters are coming up, which isnt in the spirit of the game (and again takes the fun out of it)
Nice. So if I'm world rank 115 (I've slipped down badly after yesterday's meltdown) and my wife is 65 say, then I will get similar letters to her but some different?
Also, I add my name to the leaderboard several times but it never sticks and I am classed as anonymous. Not sure it matters tbh but may be a bug.

My son plays on my phone and I play on my work phone, always cross reference the words we get once completed and there's always three or four different letters thrown in!
I've only had one person say they couldnt enter their name, and it worked second time for them.... Sounds like there is a bug in there somewhere. If you enter a name that's already taken then it should warn you and ask for another. You cant add spaces btw
rank is based on your last 5 goes. We might extend that to 10 but we quite like thats it really 'bouncy' atm

The order you get your letters is pure luck, but that affects the games massively. e.g. If you get an "X" early on then great, but its painful to get that at the end. We want it to be a mix of luck and skill

Tapping a grey letter already placed doesn't do anything for me. I have c.1800 gems.

Are you doing it after it's calculated your score? You have to do it in game.

You have to do it before picking your next letter too (in case that helps)

Much better now you dont get the same letters on all devices, means you can play genuinely several times. I'm also VivaRonaldo, Ruud and Lola - on phone and pc
