NCAA College Football 2018/2019

I wager UCLA will have a much easier time getting to the top than Nebraska. SoCal vs Bumfeck, Nebraska.

Nebraska... brings back that fantastic memory of Tommie Frazier steamrolling a UF player in that title game blowout.

Best thing about that game was the ole ball coach having to stand there on the sideline taking that beatdown.

I’ll be interested to see if Washington & Miami continue their upward trajectory, and if Michigan implodes.

OU should again be hilarious fun with this little speedster at QB. OU-WV is one of the most must-see games of the year.

We play LSU first game, which should give some indication where things are headed the rest of the year.

My UCF off to a great start cruising through UConn. :D And my boy Milton with 5 TDs

I almost went to the game. Didn't feel like paying $30 to watch what would be a blowout.

Interesting story of A&M's long history of courting coaches. Hope it goes tits up again.

Side note: Quite interesting A&M and Texas were the first (and only) schools to top 200M in revenues. Madness.

 fascinating article.

Going to follow properly this season, still not sure about the format and the divisions

Yall flew out a retirement community to the game?

Canes fans have gone yuppie in recent years. We used to look like Raiders fans back in the day.

edit....I'm guessing they are instructors from the U or the like.

I know it’s against Charleston Southern, but Florida is looking solid and composed. Mullen looking like the real deal so far.

UF is in a similar spot to UGA, who beat Austin Peay today. Best to wait a few weeks til they face a ranked opponent (Miss St or UGA)

Texas is an absolute shambles right now.

All started with Mack Brown not keeping up with the times, Texas hanging on with him far too long (honestly, he should have been canned after the 2003 season if not right after that OU debacle), and then going with overrated hot commodity coaches. Problem with Texas is there are too many cooks in the kitchen in that program.

Georgia is miles better than Florida at the moment. They'll likely stroll through the east and play AU or UA in the conference title game. Loser probably still gets in the semis.

All I’ve heard the last couple weeks from “Cocks!” fans is how they’re gonna upset UGA next week. Oh how I hope to see the Bulldogs kick them to the curb.

I really hate NBC's lower graphic showing the down and yardage needed. They put it against a yellow backdrop that matches the colour that broadcasters typically use to indicate a penalty on the play. When the play is over they switch the graphic to the next down but it also kind of looks like the graphic for a penalty flag is being switched to. It was frustrated how often I was duped into thinking a penalty flag was thrown on the play.

I really thought Charlie Strong was the right man for the program. I thought wrong.

Yes, it was annoying.

He may have been but he inherited a mess of a program. Biggest concern for me is why has Texas not had a decent/great QB since Colt? It's fecking Texas and they've constantly let top tier talents go eslewhere.

Yep. They’ve lost them to A&M, Tech, Houston, OK State, etc.

UT is an odd one. One of the most talent rich parts of the country but can't seem to get a good coach and/or great players.

Part of it is that good players started going elsewhere in Texas, those teams had success, and now more are going to those upstarts (also see Florida for this).

Nah, they've just been going to OU because we've traditionally had better coaches for whatever reason.
